Featuring the same practical features and exquisite design language as newer Hasselblad medium format XCD lenses, the Hasselblad XCD 25V f/2.5 Lens is an ultra wide angle prime, with an equivalent focal width of 20mm (full-frame).
The XCD 2,5/25V features a wide f/2.5 maximum aperture, which is adept at gathering light in nearly all lighting conditions, making it an excellent choice for night and astro photography. This wide aperture is paired with Hasselblad's advanced optics, which are designed to deliver outstanding optical performance, while efficiently resolving details in images of over 100 megapixels.
This resolving power is essential when shooting with high-resolution Hasselblad X-Series cameras like the 907X, X2D 100C and any others from the range. Our Verdict
From the knurled focus ring with signature ‘H’ branding to unique push/pull AF and MF functionality, the Hasselblad XCD 25V f/2.5 Lens combines intuitive ergonomics with beautiful design language found on newer lenses such as the XCD 90V F/2.5 and XCD 55V F/2.5.
The 20mm equivalent full-frame focal width, which the XCD 2,5/25V provides, is the widest for the system that supports the medium format platform with an ultra wide lens for landscapes, astrophotography, interiors and architecture.
Thanks to the lens’ bright maximum aperture and excellent light gathering characteristics, you can also capture stunning environmental portraits and other subject-driven genres. This is also supported by the leaf shutter, which delivers flash synchronisation at all speeds up to the maximum 1/4000s, for which the latest Hasselblad lenses are renowned.
Image quality is extremely high due to the advanced optical design, which includes a number of special lens elements to reduce aberrations, control colour fringing and reduce other artefacts. The lens can also resolve over 100 megapixels, as required for high-resolution X-Series sensor designs.
With close minimum focusing, high magnification and precise control over lens features, the Hasselblad XCD 25V f/2.5 is another desirable addition, which will no doubt become widely adopted by medium format photographers.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.
