Here is a selection of the questions that we are frequently asked by our customers. Please check below as the question you want to ask may already be answered here. What are your opening hours and how do I find you?

Park Cameras has a large showroom based in Burgess Hill which is very easy to find and get to from all over the country and we have a large car park. Alternatively, we also have a brand new store in the heart of London, just off Oxford Street. For store directions, and our opening times, please click here.

Does Park Cameras ship worldwide?

No. We only ship to the U.K. and Channel Islands. We offer a free standard service (over £50), and DPD next day delivery

What are the delivery costs?

We offer free delivery for many of our products but please click here for a breakdown of our delivery costs.

How long does it take for goods to be delivered?

Orders placed online or by phone before 4.00pm Monday-Friday (excl Bank Holidays) are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 4.00pm will be despatched on the next working day. Please note that orders placed close to the cut-off requiring further credit card authorisation may be subject to delay, but we do our best to dispatch as soon as possible. Next working Day delivery is our standard service offered by a courier. This is scheduled for the next working day before 5:30pm, but cannot be 100% guaranteed. If you need your goods delivered on a Saturday, or before a specific time, we can also do our best to arrange this for you. The charges for this service can be found in the delivery section of our website.

Can you deliver my parcel to a safe place or leave it with a neighbour if I'm not in?

Unfortunately we are not able to leave your order in a safe place or with a neighbour for security reasons. You must be able to receive the parcel when DPD attempt delivery to you. DPD will give you a notification on the morning of delivery which will indicate a time slot for when their driver will arrive with you. After multiple unsuccessful attempts at delivery, DPD will return your parcel to us. If this happens, please contact our customer services team, who will arrange a suitable delivery date with you.

Placing your order on our website

Orders of in-stock items placed before 4pm Monday - Friday will be dispatched the same day (unless you are notified contrary to this after placing your order). If you pay via PayPal, payment is taken by PayPal immediately upon ordering (whether the item is in or out of stock). Orders placed by credit/debit card are only charged when the order is dispatched. Orders placed using the finance option can only be delivered to your residential address. Finance can only be taken out by indivduals, and not businesses. How do I return goods to Park Cameras?

Do you offer part-exchange on equipment? 

We will part-exchange used digital equipment which we deem to be in a saleable condition. Our used equipment page will show you the kind of equipment that we are currently selling and some guide prices.

I would like to change the 10% deposit for a higher one when purchasing, how can I do that?

If you are happy to pay a 10% deposit, you can do it all online when going through checkout

If you would like to pay a higher deposit amount (between 10% and 50%):

  • Call us on 01444 23 70 70
  • Our customer sales team will then set up your order on our system for you, as per your requirements
  • Our sales team will email you a link with your chosen order value, finance product and deposit
  • You will then follow the link to Deko to complete the finance application online
  • Once we hear back from Deko (usually a few hours) if your application is successful, we will be back in touch with you to process your order

Is all your stock UK stock?

We only ever deal with UK suppliers with UK guarantees and will never import goods from another country. This is why we believe that we will be one of the lowest prices for UK stockists for all types of camera equipment.

What is the difference between Ex-Demo and Refurbished products?

The difference between ex-demo and refurbished equipment is that ex-demo products have been demonstrated to customers and include all accessories unless otherwise stated. Refurbished items have been returned to the supplier and restored to manufacturer working standard and include all accessories unless otherwise stated

Will you price match against another retailer?

We do attempt to price match against UK retailers who do not grey import goods (import them from another country). If you would like to check whether we will match another retailer, please call 01444 23 70 70 during our opening hours. When you call, please be ready with the quote from the other retailer.

Is this web site secure?

This web site is secured by industry standard encryption techniques, your details will be protected at every stage of your transaction. If you still do not feel happy placing your order over the internet, please feel free to call us on 01444 23 70 70 (open from 9:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Saturday, Sunday 11:00am - 4:30pm).

How do I provide feedback?

Here at Park Cameras, we value our customer satisfaction very highly and receive positive feedback from satisfied customers on a regular basis having made every effort to ensure that a high level of customer service if offered at all times. However, we understand that from time to time things can go wrong. If so, please e-mail us at sales@parkcameras.com or phone us on 01444 23 70 70 so we can put things right as soon as possible.

Do the prices shown include VAT?

All prices on this website include VAT at 20% unless they strictly say otherwise (excluding Used goods). In line with most dealers we buy and sell used equipment on the Government's 'margin' accounting scheme. All of our Used equipment is sold at zero VAT, and therefore VAT cannot be reclaimed when purchasing Used equipment from Park Cameras.

Can we take off VAT to the Channel Islands?

We process many orders to the Channel Islands and are experienced in the deduction of VAT for these orders. We can not deduct the VAT from the delivery cost as we have to pay this cost to our delivery company.

Can you deliver to an alternative address from the invoice address?

In most cases, to mitigate the risk of credit card fraud, we are only able to deliver orders to the registered cardholder address. In certain cases, it may be possible to arrange for delivery to a place of work, but we will require additional security checks to be completed (including obtaining a copy of your card statement) and this may cause a delay to your order being despatched.

We are unable to send orders to any residential address other than the registered cardholder address. If arranging an alternative delivery address is important for you, please discuss this with an advisor on 01444 23 70 70.

How can I recycle my product?

In accordance with Regulation 31 of the WEEE Regulations, Park Cameras is obliged to offer a take-back option to all consumers whereby upon purchasing a new item, for example a digital compact camera, the consumer is entitled to dispose of their old digital compact camera through Park Cameras. As an organisation that also sells products online Park Cameras is also obliged to offer this service for any items purchased online. In this instance it is requested that in order to do this the customer initially contacts a member of the Park Cameras Service team at returns@parkcameras.com to arrange for the take-back to be carried out and, upon confirmation, send the associated item to; Returns Dept., Park Cameras Ltd, Victoria Business Park, York Road, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 9TT. Any WEEE item returned to Park Cameras will be logged and kept on record for a period of four years with details being made available to the Secretary of State as required.

Please note that Park Cameras are not obliged to cover the cost of any take-back in association with an actual transaction taking place, either in-store or online. As such the opportunity to take advantage of the take-back is purely an optional one that the customer is able to take advantage of if they so wish and at their own personal cost.

Disposal of Waste Portable Batteries

As a retailer that provides batteries on a regular basis to end users we are obliged under The Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations Act to provide all of our customers with a safe and accessible way in which to dispose of their portable batteries. As an organisation that wishes to be compliant, Park Cameras is now able to offer a convenient in-store service for customers to return their waste portable batteries for further disposal by a professional organisation. Simply visit our Showroom in York Road, Burgess Hill and a member of the Park Cameras team will be only too happy to assist in your requirements.

Do you take passport photos?

Yes. We have been taking passport photos for over 40 years, and we have very good experience to make sure your photo is accepted first time by Her Majesty’s Passport Office. Please click through for more details of our Professional Passport Photo service.
