With the launch of Nikon’s first retro inspired Z fc Mirrorless Camera comes this kit, which adds the accompanying heritage styled Z 28mm f/2.8 SE Lens. This lens kit makes the most of a compact and lightweight DX crop sensor camera, delivering content creators full sensor 4K 30p video and 20.9 megapixel stills. The body is the first Nikon Z camera to sport a vari-angle LCD touchscreen that automatically detects selfie articulation for vlogging and selfie photos. The Nikkor Z 28mm f/2.8 SE joins a number of DX format Nikon Z lenses, but is the first to receive Nikon’s retro styling alongside a redesigned Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Silver Edition. With an effective focal length of 42mm (full frame format) the lens is an excellent general purpose prime, suited to anything from portraits, street photography and landscapes to video.

NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 SE Lens
This new lens is a compact and lightweight prime, perfectly matched to the Nikon Z fc Mirrorless Camera Body. Its focal width is ideal for portraits and still-life photography, providing smooth bokeh associated with primes. The lens also features a heritage design inspired by classic NIKKOR lenses from around the time the FM2 film camera was released.
Nikon Z fc Camera with legendary styling
The Nikon Z fc pentaprism design with black and silver body design reflects the legendary FM2, as does the circular eyepiece for the EVF. Other chic design elements include the dial designs and inscribed 1970-80’s Nikon logo. The camera is made from magnesium alloy for lightness, durability and strength.
Form meets function
The top of the Z fc’s body features three control dials and a small window to display current aperture. The dials provide instant control over shutter speed, exposure compensation and ISO sensitivity. Along with these there’s also a customisable i-button and i-menu, which enable users to quickly adjust settings with the press of a button.
For the first time exposure compensation is supported when shooting in AUTO mode. This new feature provides options to increase brightness and enhance silhouettes even when shooting in automatic. The camera also features 20 Creative Picture Control options that deliver unique styling for images straight out of camera. images can even be refined through hue, tone and saturation to adjust effects straight in camera.
The latest AF technology
Nikon’s latest Eye-Detection AF and Animal-Detection AF has been integrated, which is supported for both stills and video. This tracks subjects across wide-area AF (L) and AF-area mode is supported, ensuring sharp eyes and faces are captured throughout the scene. This technology was ported over from the flagship Z7 II and Z6 II full frame camera bodies.
Wide native ISO range
The Z fc comes with a wide range native ISO 100-51200. This means users can continue shooting content across any genre in any lighting conditions as the camera is a low light master.
Vari-angle monitor
A vari-angle monitor has been included for the first time on any Nikon mirrorless camera.This allows for flexible framing from low or high angles and when the monitor is rotated to the front, the camera automatically switches to self-portrait mode. This makes shooting selfies effortless, with full camera control and composition with touch operation.
SnapBridge Ver. 2.8 Improved connectivity
The SnapBridge app can be used to transfer photos and videos to a smart device, making it easy for users to share them on social media.
Snapbridge 2.8 sports a new user interface with two automatic connection modes: foreground mode and background mode. The foreground mode connects with the camera only when the app is activated, reducing camera battery consumption. The background mode features a constant connection, transferring images automatically even when the app is not activated.

Nikon has drawn from their extensive portfolio of classic film cameras to create a new 'old' style of mirrorless camera and accompanying lens design for 2021. The kit is made with content creators firmly in mind as the Z fc comes with Nikon’s first ever articulating touchscreen for Z, as well as in-camera vibration reduction built-in. Autofocus employs the latest Eye-Detection AF and Animal-Detection AF for stills and video, making for an excellent all round solution for subject tracking in any format. This can prove essential for tracking subjects accurately, especially when the camera boasts 11fps stills with AF tracking and beautiful full DX sensor 4K video and up to 120fps FHD.
The lens not only looks the part matching the vintage style camera body, but also provides a versatile focal width ideal for a variety of subjects including street photography, portraits and general shooting. Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
