Canon Speedlite EL-5 Flash Summary
Designed for EOS R mirrorless cameras with a Multi-Function foot interface, the Canon Speedlite EL-5 Flash provides professional lighting with bright guide number GN60 output. This allows you to illuminate distant subjects and group shots as well as control multiple speedlites from up to 30m away with the built-in transmitter.
Recycle times are fast too, with just 0.1-1.2 sec and around 85 full power flashes in a burst and you can set various power levels 1/1024 through to full power flashes.

Advanced operation Multi-Function Foot
Control the Speedlite EL-5 direct from your Canon camera thanks to the Multi-Function Foot, a new interface offering reliable connection with improved communication and features. This offers native compatibility with cameras like the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, EOS R7 and R3.
Packed with features for creative photography
Use FE Memory for quicker setups and Manual mode for fine control down to 1/1024th power. Custom Flash Modes allow settings to be stored and linked to a compatible camera’s own Custom settings.
Multi-flash lighting for studio quality shooting
Control up to 15 Speedlites wirelessly with the built-in radio transmitter from up to 30m away and model the lighting thanks to a Dual White LED with brightness adjustment.
Intuitive interface and advanced handling
Control settings using the Speedlite’s joystick or from the camera’s LCD via the Speedlite’s (Flash) Direct Menu button, or remotely via the Camera Connect App. Speedlite EL-5 can tilt upwards to 120° or sideways for bounce lighting.
Remote, reliable operation every time

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

Peace of mind with our 6 month warranty
This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
