Looking to sell your Canon RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens?

Our Verdict

This is a great first zoom lens for anyone joining Canon’s newest APS-C format mirrorless camera system. The versatile zoom range is great for general shooting and you can capture a variety of subjects all with this one lens, including photos, videos and vlogs. It is extremely compact when retracted and weighs a featherweight 130g so you can add it to your bag without any worries. Despite this, the lens includes a fast and quiet STM (Stepping Motor) as well as image stabilisation system. This gives you 4-stops of camera shake compensation, ideal for lower lighting conditions when handholding. When mounted on compatible APS-C cameras, you’ll get up to an impressive 6.5-stops of combined IS with body stabilisation.

The 29-72mm zoom is made even more versatile thanks to a close minimum focus distance and high 0.25x magnification. This allows you to explore your creativity even further with dynamic angles and closer subjects, while also being very useful if you are vlogging. If you’re just joining Canon’s APS-C mirrorless system you can add this native RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM as a standalone lens or in a kit combined with a camera. It makes a great starting point for creators to begin their journey and capture any lifestyle situation as a first versatile zoom.
