Product Summary

One lens for almost every subject. The Sigma 16-300mm F3.5-6.7 DC OS Contemporary spans wide landscapes, travel, portraits, wildlife and sport, with an 18.8x zoom equivalent to 24-450mm on Nikon DX cameras. At 630 g, it is an impressively portable way to cover such a range.

Fast HLA autofocus, up to 6 stops of OS2 stabilisation and Nikon Z-specific AF optimisation support handheld shooting from wide-angle to super-telephoto, with AF-C confirmed by Sigma on compatible cameras. Dust- and splash-resistant construction adds reassurance outdoors.

From Wide-Angle to Super-Telephoto

Cover landscapes, interiors, portraits, distant wildlife, aircraft and sport without changing lenses, ideal when you want to travel light. The zoom lock secures the lens at its wide setting while carrying it.

Get Closer Too

Half-life-size reproduction at 70mm and focusing from just 17 cm at the wide end add genuine close-up capability for flowers, details and smaller subjects.

Fast, Stable Shooting on Nikon mirrorless

HLA delivers fast, smooth, accurate autofocus, and a dedicated control algorithm optimises AF drive and communication speed on Nikon Z. OS2 stabilisation helps when shooting handheld in lower light or at longer focal lengths.

Optical Quality Across the Range

FLD, SLD and aspherical glass help control aberrations across the extensive zoom range, while Sigma also employs measures to suppress flare and ghosting. Minimised focus breathing keeps framing consistent when changing focus, useful for video and focus stacking.

Ready to Travel

A water- and oil-repellent front coating helps keep contaminants off the glass, complementing the dust- and splash-resistant build.
