The compact prime delivers excellent resolution across the frame thanks to a series of special glass lens elements, together with Samyang’s lens coating, which maintains image integrity even in difficult lighting conditions. Samyang also added a new ‘Aperture Control’ feature allowing the AF 75mm f/1.8 Lens to be used for both stills and video recording with silent shooting in AF and MF.

You can achieve beautifully shallow depth of field images which highlight any subject, whilst removing distractions thanks to a 9-bladed circular aperture design, with a wide f/1.8 maximum. This renders beautifully rounded bokeh with soft falloff and smooth defocus areas when desired, with a three dimensional quality to your images.

Ultra compact prime telephoto lens

The AF 75mm F1.8 X is the smallest (69.3mm length) and lightest (257g) autofocus telephoto lens for Fuji X-mount users, which maximises portability whilst making a great match for compact sized Fujifilm mirrorless cameras.

Excellent resolution across the image

Samyang has included two HR (High Refractive) and three ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass elements with an optical design consisting of 10 elements in 9 groups. This ensures that the AF 75mm F1.8 X provides stunning contrast and resolution across the entire image. Samyang’s advanced coating technology maintains excellent image sharpness and clear image even in poor lighting conditions.

Impressive background blur with refined bokeh

The maximum f/1.8 aperture provides an extremely shallow depth of field and amazing out-of-focus areas within the image. A 9-bladed circular aperture design creates beautifully blurred backgrounds when shooting with a narrow depth of field. Smooth bokeh and blurred background helps to make subjects stand out, with deep 3D visual impact.

New Custom Switch Mode 1 and 2 for video

The Samyang AF 75mm F1.8 X lens includes a special new feature for the first time in a Samyang lens, which is a ‘Preset Aperture Control’ function on the Custom Switch Mode 2. This allows you to control depth of field more smoothly without noise and vibration when recording videos in AF mode.

On the Custom Switch Mode 1, the lens operates with the ‘Focus Control’ function in MF shooting mode, enabling you to adjust focus more precisely, by rotating the focus ring and more features will be added through firmware updates in the future.

Second generation design with weather sealing

Samyang’s 2nd generation AF lens design includes a rubberised micro-patterned focus ring, hidden red ring and classic matte finish. Outdoor creators also benefit from weather sealing, which has been applied to five different locations across the lens.
