Digital camera batteries are an essential accessory for any photographer, regardless of the type of camera being used. Newer cameras are capable of taking hundreds of photographs, however with the introduction of high resolution LCD’s, electronic viewfinders and video recording, they get drained more quickly. We understand that running out of battery power is a pain in any situation, which is why we always recommend purchasing spares, replacements as well as a battery charger to keep them topped up. For some having spare camera batteries is essential, for example for travel and outdoor photographers. Professionals also generally carry at least two spares to any given shoot, whether it is for fashion or weddings, portraits or street. A camera grip can add one or two spares which are in place all of the time, as well as facilitating faster frame rates on some camera models. This presents a good alternative to simply putting extras into your bag. Missing shots or footage due to a depleted battery is a calamity which can be avoided with a simple purchase. Even capturing holiday memories can be ruined if you forget the spare or a charger.

These are generally not interchangeable and we recommend using the correct model for the correct body.
