The camera measures just 142 x 93 x 94 mm and boasts a built-in high-performance ZEISS Distagon T* 35mm f/2 lens. This high-end compact ZX1 is designed for content creators and provides a unique creative process, from shooting and editing, to saving and sharing with integrated Adobe Lightroom, WiFi and built-in 512GB SSD storage. It may be small but the camera records high quality 4K / 30p video up to Full HD 60p and captures beautiful high resolution 37.4 megapixel images from a full-frame CMOS sensor.

Easy to use with a clear interface
ZEISS has focussed on delivering a clean, straightforward user interface for an immersive content creation experience with minimal distraction. The camera is simple and intuitive to use and can switch between four camera modes on the fly. From the LCD users can move screen information in and out with the swipe of a finger, freeing up to focus on the subject. Shooting capabilities include 3fps continuous shooting, Exposure bracketing, an Intervalometer, Self Timer and Panorama mode.
Integrated editing tools in-camera
With the concept of shoot, edit and share in mind, the ZX1 features an intuitive, multi-touch navigation on the extra-large 4.3'' display, which frees you up to focus on the job at hand. You’ll also get 1 year of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom™ included. Useful edits can be made whilst out including exposure and colour corrections to selective edits, syncing to Lightroom on your computer and much more (some features require a Creative Cloud Photography plan subscription).
Simple connectivity for easy sharing
A huge built-in 512 GB SSD storage allows for image and movie organisation in different collections for easy accessibility. Users can then enjoy hassle-free sharing as well as simple backing up to cloud or home storage via Wi-Fi. OTA (over the air) software updates add to a seamless experience as does the USB 3.1 Gen 1, Type-C connector with USB-PD (Power Delivery), HDMI Alt Mode with USB Type-C support.

Our Verdict
The ZX1 is conceived by ZEISS to enable content creators to capture, edit and share their work easily with a premium compact digital camera. Integrated Adobe editing software and large capacity SSD storage combine with WiFi and seamless connectivity for hassle-free content creation with sharing and backing up to cloud or home storage. Best known for their lenses, ZEISS has included a beautiful, bright Distagon T* 35mm f/2 Lens with the camera. 35mm is a favoured focal width due to its versatility, enabling users to shoot a broad range of subjects including portraits, landscapes, travel, street photography and general shooting all with enigmatic ZEISS results. The bright aperture and wide ISO range of 80 - 51,200 ensures whatever the lighting conditions you can come away with stunning 37.4MP images and smooth 4K videos.
ZEISS included a leaf shutter in the lens which is virtually silent, which will assist those shooting in quiet environments or on the street. A leaf shutter can also be used for incredibly fast flashgun lighting at up to 1/1000 second when combined with a Sigma compatible flash unit such as the Sigma EF-630. The EVF and LCD provide richly coloured and detailed capture and edit screens furthering an all round immersive creative experience.

Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

Peace of mind with our 6 month warranty
This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
