Westcott Mini-Boom Arm and Weight Bag

The Westcott Mini-Boom Arm and Weight Bag is a compact, all-in-one solution for photographers and videographers who need precise overhead positioning without the bulk of a traditional boom arm. Designed for studio and location use, the aluminium boom arm telescopes from 79 cm to 145 cm and supports loads of up to 5 kg at full extension. Whether you are mounting lights, modifiers or microphones, or simply need extra height from an existing stand, this mini boom offers a practical, space-saving alternative that is easy to transport, quick to set up, and reassuringly robust.

The Perfect Boom Arm For

  • Studio photographers who need controlled overhead lighting without a full-size boom stand
  • Content creators and videographers positioning microphones or compact lights above a subject

Compact All-in-One Boom Solution

This Mini-Boom Arm is supplied as a complete mounting system, making it easy to rig lights, modifiers, microphones and accessories overhead using an existing light stand or C-stand. The integrated locking stand receptacle ensures a stable connection, while the included weight bag and carabiner help maintain balance and safety during use. The boom arm can also be used vertically, adding up to 145 cm of extra height when additional reach is required.

Durable and Precisely Adjustable Design

Built with an all-metal construction, the Mini-Boom Arm is designed to withstand regular use in busy studios or on location. The pivoting mount features a textured contact surface to prevent unwanted movement and allow precise positioning. At the end of the arm, the variable-position spigot receptacle accepts the included metal spigot, which can be reversed to suit a wide range of lighting fixtures, adapters and accessories.

Weight Bag Details

The included nylon weight bag features two separate pockets, each with a 28 cm zippered opening and a 15 cm pocket depth. It can be filled as required and attached securely to the boom arm using the supplied metal carabiner, helping to counterbalance mounted equipment and improve overall stability.
