Looking to sell your Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Fujifilm X Mount?

Our Verdict

Despite having developed lenses for other camera brands for a number of years, this is the first time Sigma lenses come to the Fujifilm X platform. This brings a tried and tested formula for mirrorless cameras, which delivers sharp, high resolution detail, with fast, quiet AF from an extremely lightweight package. The 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens provides a favoured focal width for capturing portraits, weddings and other subjects where a degree of compression is desirable.

Adding a bright f/1.4 aperture affords the opportunity to capture extremely shallow depth of field results, which render beautiful bokeh and pleasing soft out of focus areas suitable for this focal width. It also means users will be able to gather light for natural shots in extremely low light situations, with sharp results achievable even when handholding the camera.

Sigma’s optical prowess in providing high quality third party options for users will no doubt provide extremely welcome to Fujifilm users, and makes a tempting choice for anyone who favours strong results combined with a compact short telephoto lens of this type. Weather resistance and high build quality top-off the list of highly desirable features and ensure this will be a popular first lens from Sigma.
