Profoto B10X Plus Duo Kit Summary
If you shoot video or stills on-location and need a pair of high power portable flash heads, the Profoto B10X Plus Duo Kit from Profoto is for you. It has been improved over the previous model with 20% faster recycle times and a brighter 3250 lumen continuous light output, 30% higher than before. The flashes remain compact and lightweight at 1.9 kg so can easily be mounted on any tripod or light stands and can even be handheld for the ultimate freedom of movement.
The battery charges in around 90 minutes and provides 200 full power flashes and up to 65 minutes of continuous lighting. You get an impressive 32.7 f-stops at 2 m with the OCF Magnum Reflector with 500 Ws maximum energy, double that of the standard B10X Off-Camera Flash Head.
The Profoto app makes it easy to control and view B10X Plus light settings with Bluetooth enabled AirX technology built-in. This offers a quicker workflow to capture, edit and publish your project. You can also modify and shape light with the OCF-modifier family and harness over 120 other light shaping tools in the Profoto range.

Our Verdict
You can buy just one Profoto B10X Plus on its own, however to hit the ground running with a pair of on-location heads, the B10X Plus Duo Kit is the perfect choice. It has been improved over the previous model with significantly brighter lumen output at 3250 and is 20% faster to recycle. The battery fires up to 200 full power flashes or 65 minutes of full continuous light and will recharge in around 90 minutes. All this in a pair of lights which can be handheld! Triggering the lights remotely can be achieved either with the built-in AirX bluetooth control for smartphones, or wirelessly with all Profoto Air remotes including the Profoto A-series. Your smartphone can even act as a camera to control the lights and you can view all setting through the app.
Modifying lights is essential and this system offers over 120 light shaping tools including softboxes, umbrellas and gels. The latest lightweight OCF range of light shaping tools are compatible too opening up endless options to control the light. There are so many options available, although these B10X Plus flash heads being simple to set-up straight out of the box. Time to pull the trigger.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
