OM System BMF-LPC01 Body Mount Light Pollution Suppression Filter Summary

The OM System BMF-LPC01 Body Mount Light Pollution Suppression Filter is an internal camera filter that reduces the impact of artificial lighting when photographing night skies. It fits inside compatible OM System camera bodies between the lens mount and image sensor, allowing the filter effect to remain active regardless of lens.

By suppressing light from common artificial sources such as street and city lighting, the filter reduces colour cast and sky glow that can obscure stars, constellations and nebulae. This effect is particularly noticeable near the horizon, where light pollution is often strongest.

Because the filter is body mounted, it can even be used with lenses that do not accept front filters, including ultra-wide and fisheye lenses. Only one body mount filter can be installed at a time. The BMF-LPC01 is intended for astrophotography and night sky imaging and is compatible with selected Micro Four Thirds camera bodies, including the dedicated OM-3 Astro camera.
