DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo (64GB) Summary

The DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo (64GB) is the base model of DJI’s new wearable camera, which is for creators who want professional-level imaging in a device that weighs a mere 52g. DJI’s lightweight action camera range already includes the Osmo Action, Osmo Pocket and various drones, and the Osmo Nano joins as the most compact wearable to date.

Its dual-sided magnetic design¹ means that the camera can be clipped to clothing, hats or mounts for hands-free first-person perspectives. It features a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with 2.4μm pixels⁶, which is capable of 35MP stills at 6880 x 5160 and 4K/60fps video, or up to 4K/120fps for engaging slow motion playback. DJI’s D-Log M profile with 10-bit colour is supported, whcih delivers a wide dynamic range and more editing flexibility in line with other DJI products.

Despite its ultra-compact size, the Osmo Nano is waterproof to 10m⁴, while the included Multifunctional Vision Dock offers IPX4 splash resistance⁵ while extending recording to 200 minutes² at 1080/24. Fast charging is built in, which gets the Nano back up to 80% in around 20 minutes⁷, so your downtime is minimal even when the battery is drained.

This 64GB version provides just under 48GB of usable space for stills and video, with data transfers at up to 400MB/s⁸ over USB 3.1, for a quicker workflow than using older Wi-Fi. Wireless transfer via Wi-Fi 6 is also available for larger 4K files when needed.

The Standard Combo comes complete with the Nano camera, Vision Dock, protective case, lanyard, hat clip, ball-joint mount, USB-C cable and more, giving creators a super capable, ready-to-use kit.

DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo (64GB) in More Detail

Ultra-Lightweight and Wearable Action Cam

At just 52g, the Osmo Nano is one of the lightest cameras DJI has made, with dimensions of 57.3 x 29.5 x 28 mm. The dual-sided magnetic mount¹ enables it to be attached to clothing, hats, or accessories in either direction, while allowing you to switch quickly between selfies and outward FPV. The included Magnetic Hat Clip, Magnetic Lanyard, and Dual-Direction Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount add more mounting flexibility, so it can be used for sports, travel, or everyday storytelling.

Image Quality Beyond Expectation

The Nano includes a next-generation 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with a 2.4μm pixel size⁶, which is capable of recording up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range. Photos are captured at 6880 x 5160 (approx. 35MP), with options for single, countdown, and burst modes to suit the action.

Video is available at up to 4K/60fps in 16:9, or 4K/120fps for slow motion, while additional formats include 2.7K up to 60fps and 1080p up to 240fps. HDR and 10-bit recording in D-Log M colour provide more latitude for grading and editing, while SuperNight mode¹⁶ improves performance in very low light by reducing noise in the footage, so you can capture sunrise and sunset action with this tiny camera.

Wide-Angle Lens and Colour Performance

The built-in lens has a wide 143° field of view with a bright f/2.8 aperture and 0.35m minimum focus distance. It supports both horizontal and vertical shooting¹¹, which is ideal for creators who deliver content to different platforms. Colour is captured in 10-bit with over a billion shades, which preserves highlight and shadow detail even in darker conditions.

Stabilisation Modes

Two of DJI’s effective electronic image stabilisation systems are available in the Osmo Nano. RockSteady 3.0 reduces shake effectively when moving and recording at up to 4K/60fps. HorizonBalancing can correct tilts within ±30°, and also supports up to 4K/60fps, helping to keep horizons level when the action gets more intense.

Multifunctional Vision Dock

The included Vision Dock weighs 72g and measures 59.1 x 42.2 x 22.3 mm, and acts as a charger, mount, and remote control all in one. The OLED HD touchscreen (1.96-inch, 326 ppi, 314 x 556 resolution, 800 nits brightness) gives live view and menu access.

The Dock is able to extend operating time up to 200 minutes² when shooting 1080p/24fps, and creates IPX4 splash resistance⁵ when connected. Charging is fast too, and the Nano reaches 80% battery in around 20 minutes⁷ using a PD 30W+ charger.

Audio Recording Options

The camera body houses two microphones for stereo sound capture, while OsmoAudio™ lets you connect up to two transmitters³ for dual-source recording. Audio can be recorded alongside first-person video without the need for a receiver, which really helps to simplify your setup.

Storage and File Transfer

This Osmo Nano (64GB) offers usable storage of 48GB, with transfer speeds up to 400MB/s⁸ over USB 3.1. It also supports expansion with microSD cards, making it a great choice if you want a lower-cost entry point.

The Osmo Nano Standard Combo (128GB) version provides 107.6GB usable storage, while supporting expansion via microSD cards up to 1TB. USB 3.1 connections allow for transfers up to 600MB/s⁸ using the supplied PD cable. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 6, with speeds up to 80MB/s¹³, and Bluetooth 5.1 on the camera (5.4 on the Dock) for quick pairing.

Build Quality

Straight out of the box the Osmo Nano is waterproof down to 10m⁴, which is adequate for snorkelling or swimming and water sports in shallow water. When attached to the Vision Dock, the combined unit is IPX4-rated⁵, which is resistant to splashes, rain, and sweat. An optional Glass Lens Cover provides additional scratch protection and water repellence for the ultimate peace of mind.

Creative Shooting Modes

DJI has ported over several creative tools from other Osmo gear. Quick modes for getting amazing content include:

  • Hyperlapse (up to 4K/30fps)
  • Timelapse with multiple intervals and durations
  • Pre-Rec (capturing a short segment before pressing record)
  • Auto Recording
  • Gesture-based Nod/Pat triggers
  • Glamour Effects 2.0
  • Live Photos¹⁴
  • Pro Filters add extra creative control

DJI Mimo App Integration

The Osmo Nano works exclusively with the free DJI Mimo app, which provides real-time previews, remote adjustment and one-tap editing. The app includes templates, effects, sports dashboards (syncing data from devices such as Apple Watch¹², Garmin, and COROS), and automatic beautification so your content looks sick straight from the edit. Wireless editing and sharing are also fast thanks to Wi-Fi 6 speeds.

Nano Accessories

DJI has developed a set of optional accessories for the Osmo Nano. These expand mounting choices, offer protection, or provide better control in challenging lighting. Additionally, the Nano is also compatible with a select number of existing Osmo and action camera accessories, so users can mix new gear with what they already own.

Among the new accessories are the Magnetic Headband which creates immersive first-person perspectives, while the Osmo Dual-Direction Magnetic Adapter and Magnetic Ball Head allow for fast switching when using sports mounts or flat surfaces.

A DJI Osmo Nano ND Filter (8/16/32) is available to help with exposure in bright conditions or when shooting motion at slower shutter speeds.

Our Verdict

The DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo (64GB) is the base model in DJI’s new ultra-compact wearable range, which sits alongside the Pocket and Action series of cameras. With 64GB of built-in storage, and just under 48GB available to use, it has less space than the 128GB flagship model, but still plenty of capacity for 4K clips and high-resolution stills when transferring content off the camera regularly. This is the kind of design that makes DJI such a favourite for creators who want to travel light and avoid relying on having lots of microSD cards.

Image quality from the ultra compact wearable action cam is excellent thanks to the 1/1.3-inch sensor with large 2.4µm pixels, which produces detailed results even in relatively low light. This is supported by SuperNight mode and D-Log M colour, which can capture wide dynamic range so you can boost the shadows in post.

With RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonBalancing on board, you can also capture smooth, stabilised video even during walking running, cycling and in motion-heavy situations. The dual-sided magnetic design is a clever addition too, which enables first-person perspectives that could be awkward with traditional action cameras.

The list of features goes on, with waterproofing to 10m, an extended runtime of up to 200 minutes with the Dock, and audio input through OsmoAudio™ providing a comprehensive solution for creators. Whether you’re just starting out with wearables or looking for a lighter, simpler camera for short-form content, the 64GB Nano is a compelling option.
