Epson SureColor SC-P400 SC-P700 Updated for 2020

RRP: £679

Park Cameras price: £679

Moving up in price, the Epson SureColor SC-P700 is one of the smallest and lightest A3+ printers available and is simple and intuitive to use, energy efficient, and produces brilliant images.

It utilises professional seven-colour UltraChrome HiGloss 2 pigment inks with a gloss optimiser to achieve outstanding colour reproduction, and like the Epson Stylus Photo 1500W features a very small ink droplet size - at just 1.5pl - for exceptional detail.

It has dual paper paths, is compatible with up to 1.3mm thickness paper - matte, glossy, and fine art papers are supported - and you can conveniently load paper from the rear of the printer. Additionally, you can print on 2 inch core roll media for panoramic prints and individual formats, as well as having the option to print onto CDs and DVDs.

The SC-P400 has built-in Ethernet and USB connections, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity - which lets you print directly from PCs, tablets, and smartphones through the use of the Epson iPrint App. To add to its impressive feature list, the Surecolor SC-P400 is EnergyStar 2.0 compliant and consumes very little power.

Canon Pixma PRO-10S

RRP: £529.00

Park Cameras price: £529.00

Second to last in our lineup and our equally most expensive model in this review is the fantastic Canon Pixma PRO-10S A3+ inkjet photo printer - the sibling of the aforementioned Canon Pixma PRO-100S, which uses pigment-based inks as opposed to dye-based ones, so produces images which have greater longevity.

It features similar abilities to the PRO-100S mentioned above; the use of the Pro Gallery Print app, cloud storage service direct printing, printing from smartphones and tablets, direct Photoshop and Lightroom compatibility, specialist art paper compatibility, and Direct Disc Print functionality.

In addition, it uses LUCIA inks, which combine the glossy appearance and vivid colours offered by dye-based inks with the permanence of pigment-based inks, and its Chroma Optimizer ink further enhances your images’ glossy appearance, while increasing the range of colours and flattening the print surface.

The 10-ink pigment-based system in the Canon PIXMA PRO-10S delivers precise and durable prints to gallery quality and includes three dedicated monochrome inks to guarantee amazing black and white prints, making this a top choice for an A3+ photo printer.
