ZEISS DTI 1/25 Thermal Imaging Camera Summary

With a range of 1,320 metres, the ZEISS DTI 1/25 Thermal Imaging Camera ensures that heat sources can be detected reliably over expansive fields, making it ideal for observations in rural areas. The combination of attractive price point and high-quality optics make the DTI 1 series of ZEISS thermal cameras a great choice for newcomers and beginners.

The camera is rounded out by eight new colour modes that significantly reduce the screen’s glare among other things, and with the new Detection Mode, heat sources can be detected more easily. The ZEISS DTI 1 range is available as this DTI 1/25, which offers a field of view of 18 metres at 100 metres and a detection range of 1300 metres, and the wider DTI 1/19, with a field of view of 24 metres at 100 metres and a detection range of 1000 metres.

ZEISS DTI 1/25 Thermal Imaging Camera in More Detail

ZEISS quality at an entry-level price

The ZEISS DTI 1/25 provides a combination of intuitive handling and low weight, which makes the thermal imaging camera an ideal entry-level model to explore the world of thermal imaging. The camera will enhance your nature experience and provide more discoveries at night as well as subjects which are difficult to locate during the day.

Intelligent layout for easy operation

The optimised shape of the housing makes the grip ergonomic and operation intuitive for both right-handed and left-handed users. The intelligent button arrangement and its optimised shape makes controlling the device intuitive.

Transition Zoom feature

When for example, you are viewing a swarm of birds, it is easy to lose sight of the subject when jumping the zoom level. Transition Zoom allows you to keep a constant eye on the bird you are observing, by observing your target in 4x magnification, uninterrupted and without any jerkiness.

Three observation modes for any situation

Different environmental situations require a different instrument setting and the DTI 1 has three pre-programmed observation modes: universal, detect and fog. Detection mode highlights heat sources while reducing the cold background, which allows you to see animals behind trees and bushes better than before.

8 Different colour modes

ZEISS thermal imaging cameras offer eight different colour modes, so you can choose the setting which best fits your needs.

  • Black hot and white hot render images with a high level of contrast.
  • Red hot allows for a fast detection of heat sources in vast vegetation
  • Rainbow is ideal for identifying the smallest differences in temperature

Four additional colour modes have been redesigned to reduce the glare of the screen in a dark environment and reduce eye strain:

  • Red Hue mode more easily adjusts your eyes to the darkness
  • Dark Hue is easier on your eyes by using low luminescence colours
  • Green Hue shows plenty of detail at low screen brightness
  • Night Eye highlights the warmest areas of the thermal image in a pleasant sepia tone

High Frame Rate for longer duration observation

The ZEISS DTI cameras featuring a display frame rate of 50 Hz. A higher display frame rate results in decreased flickering of the image, thereby reducing eye strain when using for several hours at a time.

Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

The picture-in-picture function of the ZEISS DTI overlays the zoomed image on the visual image. This is useful when you want to keep sight of the animal you are observing in zoom mode, even if it makes sudden movements.

Hot Tracking mode

In 'Hot Tracking' mode, the warmest source in the image is framed with a red square, which makes finding heat sources in densely overgrown areas and tracking them far easier.

Customisable for quicker operation

When it comes to thermal imaging cameras, every viewer has their own personal preferences. In order to meet this, the DTI's now offer the ability to select exactly which colour modes are active and which are not, so you only have to click through the ones you want to use. The same applies to the zoom level setting, whereby you can now limit the maximum zoom level to your liking.
