Think Tank Airport Accelerator 41L Summary
The largest carry-on backpack in the Airport range provides space for substantial professional camera kits, including large telephoto lenses. A separate rear compartment holds a 16-inch MacBook Pro and 10-inch tablet, while locking YKK RC Fuse zippers, an integrated cable lock and hidden security pocket help protect equipment in transit.
Its combination of capacity, security and travel-focused carrying features makes it particularly suited to wildlife and sports photographers flying with larger professional kits.
What’s New
A new rear computer compartment improves access to a laptop, tablet and paperwork, while freeing up the front pocket for personal items, with an organiser and key lanyard.
Zippered side pockets replace the previous stretch pockets, with straps above for a tripod or water bottle. Other updates include a revised back panel and shoulder straps, a security pocket in the luggage pass-through, padded dividers with accessory pockets and new interior and exterior fabrics.
Unlike smaller Airport backpacks, this model does not gain the new full-width divider for separating camera equipment from personal items.

Organisation and Security
Padded dividers configure the main compartment around different camera kits, with accessory pockets built into three dividers and additional zippered mesh storage inside the lid. The front compartment includes smaller pockets and a key lanyard.
Locking main-compartment zippers are supplemented by an integrated cable lock, while a hidden pocket beneath the luggage pass-through provides discreet storage for a passport, cash or other valuables.
Carrying and Travel
A removable stabiliser belt supports heavier loads and can be tucked away when not required. Handles on all four sides make the backpack easier to lift into overhead compartments or vehicles, while the rear pass-through fits over compatible rolling luggage handles.
Side attachment straps provide external tripod storage, with zippered pockets below for a water bottle or other travel essentials.
Materials and Weather Protection
The exterior combines 420D nylon mini ripstop, 1260D poly ballistic nylon and 600D polyester with a durable water-repellent coating. A seam-sealed rain cover provides additional protection in wet conditions.

It meets most international and US airline carry-on requirements. Size and weight restrictions vary by airline, so check the allowance for your flight before travelling.
Can I divide the main compartment between camera gear and personal items?
Not with the full-width divider included with some smaller models in the latest Airport range. The Accelerator prioritises maximum camera equipment capacity and does not include this divider.
Can it be used with rolling luggage?
Yes. The rear pass-through fits over the telescoping handle of compatible rolling luggage, reducing the need to carry a fully loaded backpack through airports.

Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.
