The M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO provides a 600mm equivalent focal length in a comparatively lightweight Micro Four Thirds lens, making it suitable for handheld wildlife and bird photography where mobility is important. Its fixed f/4 aperture maintains consistent exposure performance while supporting subject separation and faster shutter speeds in changing outdoor light. Optical stabilisation works alongside the OM-1 Mark II body stabilisation system to reduce camera shake during long telephoto shooting.

Stacked Sensor
The OM-1 Mark II uses a 20.4MP stacked BSI Live MOS sensor paired with the TruePic X processor. The stacked design increases sensor readout speed, which supports reduced rolling shutter distortion, faster autofocus calculations and blackout-free sequential shooting. Continuous shooting reaches up to 50fps with continuous autofocus and auto exposure, while fixed autofocus shooting extends to 120fps.
AI Subject Detection
The autofocus system uses cross-type on-chip phase detection points across the frame and includes AI subject detection modes for birds, animals, cars, motorcycles, aircraft and trains. Tracking behaviour has been refined for more consistent subject recognition when subjects move unpredictably or pass behind foreground obstacles. Human face and eye detection remain available for portrait and event photography.
Computational Photography
Computational Photography tools are integrated directly into the shooting interface without requiring separate software or post-processing workflows. Handheld High Res Shot generates images up to 50MP, while tripod-assisted High Res Shot produces 80MP files by combining multiple exposures in-camera. Live ND supports neutral density simulation up to ND128, allowing longer shutter speeds for moving water and cloud movement in bright conditions. Focus stacking and HDR capture are also processed internally.
Image Stabilisation
The five-axis stabilisation system compensates for camera movement during handheld shooting and video recording. When paired with compatible Sync IS lenses such as the included 12-100mm f/4 IS PRO, stabilisation reaches up to 8.5 shutter speed steps in the centre of the frame. This supports handheld telephoto shooting and low-light photography without increasing ISO sensitivity unnecessarily.
Weather Sealing
The camera body uses a magnesium alloy construction with IP53-rated sealing against dust and moisture ingress. The shutter mechanism is rated for 400,000 actuations and remains operational in temperatures down to -10°C. The supplied PRO lens includes sealing throughout the lens barrel and a fluorine-coated front element which helps resist water droplets, dust and dirt during outdoor use.
Video Recording
Internal video recording supports DCI and UHD 4K recording at up to 60p, alongside Full HD high-speed recording at up to 240fps. OM-Log400 recording preserves additional tonal information for colour grading workflows, while vertical video metadata supports direct use on mobile and social media platforms. Heat management allows extended recording times without active cooling systems.
Field Handling
A redesigned rubber grip texture improves handling during prolonged outdoor use, particularly when working in wet conditions or while wearing gloves. The body includes dual UHS-II SD card slots, a dedicated CP button for Computational Photography functions and USB-C connectivity for charging, tethering and file transfer. The EVF uses a 5.76-million-dot OLED panel with up to 120fps refresh rate for smoother subject tracking during continuous shooting.

Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.
