The latest camera from the Olympus E-M1 lineup comes in the form of the OM-D E-M1 MK III, and includes many upgraded features, along with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm F4 IS PRO lens in this package. A four thirds, 20.4 Megapixel Live MOS sensor and new TruePic IX processor seamlessly link to provide the optimum in speed and image quality for a variety of shooting styles. A fully weather sealed magnesium alloy body provides the best protection for the harshest of environments, along with an intuitive array of dials and buttons to access the most common camera functions.
The image stabilisation system now provides up to 7.5 EV stops of compensation when used with this 12-100mm f/4 and other Micro four thirds lenses, providing a world-class level of stabilised stills or footage. Additional ways to produce high resolution images come in the form of the 50MP (80MP equivalent) Handheld High Res Shot for capturing high-resolution shots without a tripod and the Tripod High Res Shot function when shooting still images. When the camera is mounted on a tripod, high-resolution images of 50MB (approx. 80 Megapixel equivalent) are easily obtainable, ideal for amateurs and pros who need extremely high resolution detailed results.
The autofocus system now has a cross-type On-chip Phase Detection AF sensor with 121-points, allowing for 75% vertical coverage and 80% horizontal coverage of the frame, available for both video and stills. The quick 18fps of continuous shooting works in conjunction with AF/AE tracking, using either the rear LCD screen or viewfinder to never miss a shot. 4K video at 30p is available ideal for professional quality video production.

The latest of the E-M1 lineup brings an evermore rounded feature set, with new and improved functionality to this highly popular range of Olympus PEN and OM-D cameras. The Micro Four Third, 20.4 Megapixel Live MOS sensor and new TruePic IX processing engine are the centre of an extensive feature set. Including advanced features suitable for the enthusiast up to professional applications.
Body Design
The magnesium alloy construction is a fully sealed body, rated to be dust, splash and freeze proof for the harshest of environments. Dials and buttons have been logically laid out, with the most useful settings easily hand. The 3 inch rear, Vari-angle touchscreen LCD, can be used to access all camera settings through the intuitive menu system, as well as simple touchscreen focusing in both video and stills mode.
The body design incorporates additional features such as a joystick for focus points selection and menu navigation. While dual memory card slots are now available, along with a high-speed 120FPS EVF.
Image Stabilisation
The 5-axis sync. image stabilisation system utilises sensor shift for a total of 7.5 EV steps of compensation, with a compatible lens, world leading in this departiment. Stabilisation modes include Five-dimensional, vertical or horizontal activation and automatic modes, which are available for both video and still shooting. Thus, lowlight capabilities have been further enhanced, with very low shutter speeds achievable when handheld. Compatible lenses with their own image stabilisation system, further enhance the system for world-class levels of stabilised footage.
Autofocus system
A TTL phase detection and contrast detection system are now added to the feature set, with 121 cross-type, AF points and 75% vertical and 80% horizontal coverage. A cross-type On-chip Phase Detection AF sensor increases AF accuracy and speed, with a 75% vertical and 80% horizontal coverage of the frame. Continuous shooting goes up to a maximum of 18 FPS(0fps AF/AE lock continuous shooting) to capture the fastest of subjects, with a multi selector on camera for easy selecting of AF areas the viewfinder or via the rear screen. Erratically moving subjects have never been easier to capture.
Automatic focusing options come in a variety of modes, dependent on the subject. Face Priority/Eye Priority AF is faster and more accurate due to the speedier processor and improved AF algorithms. Eyes and small faces can be detected far more effectively than in the past, with a simple touch of a button or with tap focusing, especially useful for vloggers. A SSWF (Super Sonic wave Filter) vibrates the image sensor filter free of dust, while a new sensor coating gives an extraa level of protection.
4K Video
Video functionality comes on board with 4K footage at 30p, with FHD at 120p. HD video is also included, allowing outputs for a range of mediums. The image stabilisation system has specific modes just for video, which provides stable footage with handheld shooting. Additional features including OM-Log400 shooting, with advanced colour correcting and a View Assist function for converting the colour gamut into Full HD standard BT.709 equivalent for viewing on regular displays.
Additional Features
The Olympus OM-D E-M1 MK III conveniently processes still images without the need for additional software. images filters and looks can easily be applied and changed on-the-fly, which include Black & White, Sepia, trimming and e-Portrait, while art filters ensure a final professional look, such as Vintage, Grainy Film and Pop Art.
Olympus has included connectivity options for transferring data, as well as easy remote-control of the camera. Wi-Fi support has been incorporated, linking seamlessly to a smart phone with the OI.Share smartphone app. for true remote working. The camera can also be controlled via the USB and micro HDMI, along with the functionality of easy data transfer. RAW files can also be seamlessly processed with the included app. A 3.5mm microphone and 3.5mm Earphone jack have been included for further monitoring of audio, while audio can be replaced in videos using Slate Tone on the LS-P4 / LS-100 when recording.

Included in this package is the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm F4 IS PRO, perfect for anythang from landscapes to portrait photographer. An 8,3x zoom(24-200mm equivalent) provides plenty of working focal length, further enhanced with the 5-axis IS system and professional level optics.
The lens features 17 elements arranged in 11 groups, with one HR elements, two Super HR elements, three Aspherical glass elements, one DSA lens elements and five ED lens elements for superior detail and sharpness. Weighing in at 561g, the lens is a fantastic all-round performer and makes for an excellent linkup to the E-M1 MK III.

The E-M1 MK III has a wealth of features that will appeal to both dedicated stills and video users. The 20.4MP Four Thirds sensor provides ample resolution for high-quality prints, while the newTruePic IX processor gives a noticeable difference to speed and performance across the board.
The weatherproofed, magnesium alloy body design fits comfortably in the hand, having a sizable grip with a textured surface, along with intelligently placed dials and buttons for improved ergonomics. The 3 inch tilting rear touchscreen is of great benefit when taking images or video at extreme angles, as well as compensating for bright light. Youtube content creators will appreciate the vari-angle screen, essential for selfie-style recording.
Autofocus features now include 121 All Cross Type Phase Detection AF points covering the majority of the frame and work extremely well in low light conditions. Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
