The camera weighs an impossibly low 53g, and the GO Ultra can be worn or mounted magnetically for unobtrusive recording. It features a larger 1/1.28-inch sensor, which has been paired to a new 5nm AI chip, which enables higher frame rates, 4K Active HDR mode for wider dynamic range, and sharper video quality, especially in low light while using the dedicated PureVideo setting.
The included Action Pod extends battery life up to 180 minutes, and users can benefit from a 2.5-inch flip touchscreen for remote monitoring and control. Upgraded 4K Video
GO Ultra brings a significant upgrade over its predecessor for 4K60p video recording, which is enabled by a new 1/1.28-inch image sensor and 5nm AI chip. This combination delivers smooth, high-frame-rate footage with more detail and clarity even in poor lighting conditions. With support for up to 240fps in Full HD, creators also have access to slow-motion playback for dynamic storytelling.
Enhanced Low-Light Performance
PureVideo mode has been refined to improve low-light performance, using AI-powered noise reduction to reveal more shadow and highlight detail in night-time or low light scenes. The GO Ultra achieves up to 200% improvement in low-light clarity compared to previous cameras, making it suitable for a wider variety of environments right into dusk.
Active HDR and Portrait Modes
Active HDR mode has been updated to help retain highlight and shadow detail in high-contrast scenes, while smart colour tuning provides natural-looking results. For vlog-style content or social sharing, Portrait Mode harnesses AI to optimise skin tones and facial detail, and includes multiple filter styles for quick editing to taste.
High-Resolution Photos
Alongside video, the GO Ultra captures high-res 50MP stills with Active HDR support. Users can also take advantage of PureShot low-light photo mode, Live Photo options, and a selection of seven creative filters, which are available directly from the Insta360 app.
Better Storage and an Improved Workflow
Unlike earlier GO models, the GO Ultra features a replaceable SD card slot, which completely removes storage limitations and simplifies data transfer. This makes the camera more suitable for long shoots and lets creators carry spare SD memory cards to avoid missing out on the action.
Framing and Control
The Action Pod includes a 2.5-inch flip touchscreen for live viewing, framing, playback and control. A battery boost can extend total runtime up to 180 minutes (at 1080p24), and the Pod improves usability for long duration video, while staying incredibly lightweight and modular.
Stabilised, Cinematic Field of View
Insta360’s FlowState stabilisation has been around for a good while and helps you capture very smooth footage. This system includes three selectable modes with Low (for immersive footage), Standard (for casual everyday shooting), and High (for action and extreme sports).
A new MegaView FOV option will even correct edge distortion, which provides flatter, more natural perspectives, while the full 156° ultra-wide field of view enables highly immersive shots.
Versatile Mounting
The standalone GO Ultra camera includes a built-in magnetic mounting system, allowing it to attach to a range of action cam accessories for hands-free shooting. The camera itself is small and light enough to wear on a pendant, or you can clip it onto clothing, or position it on surfaces using the provided magnetic attachments.
Cross-Platform Compatibility
The GO Ultra works with a wide range of smartphones via the Insta360 app, including recent iPhone models from the iPhone XS through to the iPhone 15, and Android phones with Snapdragon 855, Exynos 2200, or Kirin 990 chipsets and newer. The app supports full camera control and editing, with a 64-bit mobile operating system required for installation.

The Insta360 GO Ultra builds on the strengths of its predecessors with well-rounded upgrades that will appeal to new users and existing GO series creators. Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
