The Canon XA60 4K UHD Camcorder joins the Canon pro camcorder line-up to offer stunning 4K UHD and superb Full HD oversampled from the 4K 1/2.3" type CMOS sensor. This is paired with Canon’s DIGIC DV6 image processor and a Canon 4K 20x optical zoom lens. The lens is ideal in a number of situations thanks to offering a full-frame equivalent zoom range of 29.3mm wide angle to 601mm super telephoto. You can also digitally zoom in 800x whilst harnessing 5-axis image stabilisation.
Canon’s advanced Hybrid AF system gives fast and precise focusing, with focus points which can be set on the clear 3.5-inch LCD display. A pair of SD memory card slots offer the ability to safely record with simultaneous backup and relay recording and the camera will also stream HD footage via UVC over a computer for ENG and field productions.

Professional 4K UHD camcorder
Capture stunning 4K UHD and superb Full HD video with the Canon XA60 thanks to a 4K 1/2.3-inch type CMOS sensor, which has been paired with Canon’s DIGIC DV6 image processor. Oversampled HD processing delivers Full HD images from the 4K sensor.
Canon 4K 20x optical zoom lens
The 4K Canon lens covers a 29.3mm wide angle (full-frame equivalent) to 601mm range, with Dynamic IS and the digital zoom boosts to 800x whilst harnessing 5-axis image stabilisation.
Quick, accurate focusing with face detection
Adjustable focusing speeds and an advanced Hybrid AF system give quick and accurate focusing. The 3.5-inch LCD display can be used to set focus by touching the AF point required, and Face Detection AF and Face Tracking are available while Manual Focus is set via the focus/zoom ring. This provides suitable options to gain perfectly focussed subjects while using the XA60 camcorder.
XF-AVC and MP4 flexible recording
Choose between XF-AVC or MP4 recording formats to record XF-AVC 4K UHD 160Mbps at 25P, plus Full HD 45Mbps at 50P/50i/25P. For smaller files you can also record MP4 4K 150Mbps at 25P and Full HD 35Mbps or 17Mbps at 50P/25P, providing the flexibility needed for different recording situations.
Livestream and more
Stream HD footage via UVC over a computer or add a date and time stamp with OSD recording. Two XLR terminals on a detachable handle plus 4-channel linear PCM bring pro audio options with external microphones and more.
Professional connectivity
Secure simultaneous backup and relay recording are available via dual SD cards and you can record in near darkness using Infrared mode. For specialist capture, Slow Motion can be recorded in Full HD 0.5x or Fast Motion in 4K/Full HD up to 1200x. Colour matching with other Canon cameras via the custom picture menu is another great option for team productions. If you need 3G-SDI output the XA65 4K UHD Camcorder offers identical features and performance, plus 3G-SDI.

Canon’s XA60 is a compact professional 4K UHD camcorder, which offers recording versatility through MP4 up to 150Mbps and XF-AVC up to 160Mbps. It will also output beautiful Full HD which is oversampled from the 4K 1/2.3" type CMOS sensor, and you can safely record your footage onto dual SD cards with simultaneous backup and relay recording.
A 5-axis stabilised 4K Canon zoom lens offers the versatility required for diverse recording environments, with a full-frame equivalent range of 29.3mm - 601mm, that can also be digitally zoomed for even greater reach. Content can be live-streamed and output via Mac or PC, or add a date and time stamp with OSD recording.
Audio is also professional quality thanks to two XLR inputs positioned on the removable handle and the XA60 will capture 4-channel linear PCM. Focusing is equally robust, delivered by Canon’s Hybrid AF system, which provides fast and precise focusing. Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.
