A night of wonder at our London Store
Thursday 16th April 2015
Olympus UK have teamed up our London store at 54 Rathbone Place on 16th April to host a special evening event that will allow you to get hands on with their newest compact system camera, the OM-D E-M5 Mark II, inspect images shot with its breakthrough 40 megapixel mode, and try out a complete collection of Micro Four Thirds lenses and accessories. There will also be A2 prints available for you to inspect to really assess the camera’s quality in both regular 16 megapixel and super high-resolution 40 megapixel modes.
Of course there will be exclusive special offers available on the night for anyone considering buying Olympus kit – plus a knowledgeable Olympus imaging expert on hand to answer any questions, plus advise on the best set up to suit your photographic requirements.
The evening event, which takes place from 6.00pm to 7.15pm, is FREE, but as there is only space for 36 attendees it would be wise to register your interest early to avoid missing out.
Making Light work of Pro Portraits
Wednesday 22nd April 2015 - £140
Professional portrait and wedding photographer John Nassari, in association with Olympus UK, invites you to come to Park Cameras at London to join him on one of his most popular workshops. This session focuses on the art of shooting portraits using both studio lighting and on and off-camera flash in a controlled environment, and then moves outside to utilise natural daylight for perfect portraiture.
“For this workshop I’ll be exploring the subtleties of different light sources,” John exclusively tells us. “Starting off in the studio with camera, background, lights and a model, we will shoot some portraiture. We’ll look at side lighting, soft lighting and background lighting and the different ways to create flattering light to shoot a beauty portrait, or an editorial portrait.
We’ll also look at how you can do that without having to use £2,000 lights; using the Olympus camera flashes to achieve similar results. Then we’ll take the model and the background outside and set it up in a street or an alleyway, where I’m going to use daylight to take a portrait with a reflector.”
This one day event is open to just 15 attendees, so be sure to register your interest now if you’re considering coming along.
