With optical performance and functionality which deliver professional-quality results, packed into a lightweight and compact body, this ultra-telephoto zoom from Sigma is the ideal option for dedicated outdoor photography and travel.

Sigma’s advanced optical technology ensures high-resolution results right to the edges of the frame, as well as high-contrast details throughout the focal range. Looking to sell your Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary Lens for Fujifilm X?

Our Verdict

The addition of the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS will be extremely welcome for Fujifilm X photographers, especially as Sigma has improved the lens, when compared to existing versions for Sony and other systems.

Its’ long super telephoto reach is ideal for capturing distant subjects, which traditionally include sports, action, wildlife and bird photography, although landscape and travel photographers will also benefit from the compact and lightweight design. An advanced optical formula renders excellent results, with comprehensive features, designed to you to capture professional-level photos.

Unique functions for this model include a new AF Function Setting switch and AF Function button, which replace the AF/MF Switch and AFL buttons, and Sigma has retained many versatile features from earlier models for this Fuji version. These include the ability to capture high magnification shots at close distances, rounding off a single zoom for fast-paced action as well as close-up macro shots.

Optical image stabilisation has been enhanced to 5-stops, which increases the lens’ effectiveness when handholding and shooting in low light. The lens also brings fast and quiet focusing with high-speed autofocus compatibility, which can be even quicker when using the focus limiter switch for distant subjects. The push-pull feature increases zoom performance and the lens mount is weather sealed for outdoor action. Photographers also benefit from an inner focus system, 9-bladed aperture design and several lens barrel controls, ensuring this is a powerful tool for a variety of users.
