Shimoda Top Loader Large Black Summary
Shimoda's Top Loader collection complements our full range of adventure-friendly camera backpacks. Top Loaders can function as protective camera inserts inside your Shimoda backpack, or they can be carried independently as a shoulder/sling bag. They can be paired with the belt from the backpack to wear as a hip pack, or they can be mounted to the harness of your pack (with optional Accessory Straps). They are the most adaptable bags in the Shimoda range. All Top Loaders have an expandable base so you can carry up-to a 70-200mm/100-400mm sized professional lens. The Small size is ideal for body and lens, and each size up from the Small adds one more vertical section to fit an additional lens or lenses. These bags are also a great fit for Mavic sized drones and smaller. Top Loader’s are made from durable weather resistant materials so all your gear is protected when the weather goes foul. Using Top Loaders is an efficient way to pack a camera kit. They allow you to carry less weight and rigidity than you would with Shimoda's typical Core Units, with the added benefit of multiple modes of carry separate from the backpack. If you have an adventure where you just need a modest amount of camera gear and have more adventure/survival-related kit to pack, a Top Loader is a great way to save space and weight while still protecting your gear.
- Camera and Drone Friendly: Shimoda Top Loaders are sized to fit non-gripped camera bodies with lenses up to 70-200/100-400mm, plus drones as large as the DJI Mavic. All sizes come with vertical divider(s) allowing you dial-in a perfect fit for your gear.
- Adjustable Camera Clip Height: The mounting strip offers 20 cm (8 in) of height adjustment, allowing creators to dial-in a perfect fit that complements the height of the user
- Simpler, Easier Clip Mounting: The mounting strip has no bulk or thickness to work around, so attaching a camera clip is easier than ever before.
- Front Panel Pocket: A zipper-accessed front panel pocket lets you stash smaller items like lens cloths, lens caps and other low profile accessories.
- Lightweight Water-Repellant Materials: Top Loaders share the same lightweight, water-resistant materials as our backpack lines. The black colorway is made with the same material we use for Action X & Explore packs, while Boa comes in our Urban Explore textile. This ensures the same reliable and consistent quality and performance for both urban and mountain scenarios. They also make a handsome match when traveling.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
