The Leica Televid HD 82 Spotting Scope is a premium 45º angled spotting scope for wildlife observation and digiscoping at the highest standard. With an 82mm front element, fluorite glass, and Leica’s High Lux Pro (HLP™) lens system, this model offers the brightest image in its class. An achromatic lens construction creates true-to-life colour and contrast, which is aided by AquaDura® coating for excellent performance in rain, spray or dust. The internal focusing system incorporates Leica’s patented dual-focus mechanism for quick coarse adjustments and ultra-fine control when you need to fine tune the focusing.
The angled scope is housed in a weather-sealed magnesium body with shock-absorbing rubber armour, and is lightweight and field-ready, while the rapid-change bayonet mount allows for quick swaps between eyepieces. It’s fully compatible with Leica’s modular digiscoping system, with smartphone adapters and Leica camera mounts. This makes the Televid HD 82 perfect for users who want a rugged system for both observing and capturing wildlife imagery.

The Leica Televid HD 82 delivers class-leading image brightness and clarity, which is especially useful when light levels drop. Its large 82mm front lens, paired with fluoride glass and the High Lux Pro (HLP™) coating system, ensures high-contrast viewing with excellent colour neutrality. The HD version features an achromatic lens system, which provides sharp detail with natural colours, which is ideal for observing birds, wildlife and natural subjects from long distances.
Compact Durable Design
This angled spotting scope features Leica’s new patented dual-focus system, which combines rapid coarse adjustment with a fine focus wheel for precise focus control. The scope housing is made from magnesium for optimal strength-to-weight and is fully rubber-armoured for use in tough outdoor conditions. It is also nitrogen-filled and waterproof to a depth of 5 metres, which provides full weather protection for year-round use.
Modular Design for Digiscoping
As part of Leica’s modular Televid system, the HD 82 integrates seamlessly with a variety of digiscoping accessories. Leica’s camera adapters allow attachment of the Leica Q, M or SL systems, as well as other mirrorless cameras via T2 mount. For mobile phone digiscoping, the Ollin magnetic smartphone adapter adds easy image capture capabilities, and all images can be reviewed and shared using the very advanced Leica FOTOS app.
Eyepieces and Accessories
This scope is compatible with Leica’s premium Vario eyepieces, and the Televid HD 82 works with the 25-50x WW ASPH. for a wide field of view or the 20-60x version for greater magnification. An optional 1.8x extender increases reach further and Leica also offers dedicated tripods, weather-resistant ever-ready cases, and other accessories to complete the setup for serious wildlife observation and scientific use in the field.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
