The Leica APO-Televid 82 is a flagship model in Leica’s next-generation of 45º angled spotting scopes, which offers outstanding optical performance with minimal colour fringing, even at high magnifications. The scope is perfect for users such as wildlife observers, conservation professionals, and serious nature enthusiasts, and features an 82mm apochromatic objective with Leica’s High Lux Pro (HLP™) lens system to ensure exceptional brightness, contrast, and colour fidelity in all lighting conditions.
This premium spotting scope combines a rugged magnesium housing with a dual-focus mechanism for precise and responsive adjustment. Its ergonomic body is fully rubber-armoured for rugged protection in the field and is nitrogen-filled for complete water and fog resistance.
As part of Leica’s modular observation system, the APO-Televid 82 is compatible with a wide range of high-performance accessories. Two newly developed Vario eyepieces are available with the 25-50x WW ASPH. for a wide field of view and edge-to-edge sharpness, and the new 20-60x eyepiece for even greater magnification. Both are easily paired with Leica’s 1.8x extender for even more reach.
Leica has ensured that Digiscoping is fully integrated into the design of these next-generation Televid spotting scopes. A number of dedicated adapters and mounts supports everything from Leica’s own Q and SL cameras to smartphones using Ollin’s secure magnetic attachment system. When used in conjunction with the Leica FOTOS app, this scope becomes part of an integrated mobile imaging setup for capturing and sharing special wildlife moments and field observations.
The APO-Televid 82 represents Leica’s highest standard in field optics which are bright, sharp, and come in a durable design.

A New Standard in Observation
The Leica APO-Televid 82 is a flagship spotting scope, which offers professionals and passionate outdoors-folk outstanding performance for detailed long-range observation. With an 82mm front lens and Leica’s new High Lux Pro (HLP™) lens system, it delivers superior image brightness and contrast, even in low light. Apochromatic correction ensures minimal colour fringing and excellent detail rendition, especially useful when identifying subtle markings in birds or other wildlife.
Premium Optics and Signature Build Quality
The precision optical system includes fluoride lenses, which renders excellent clarity across the entire field of view. The dual focus system helps to make fine adjustments quick and precise, while the 45º angled design enhances comfort over extended viewing sessions. The durable magnesium body is lightweight and very robust, with full rubber armouring for use in virtually any outdoor situation. All models are nitrogen-filled and waterproof up to 5 metres.
Integrated System for Digiscoping
The Leica APO-Televid is part of a modular system, which is compatible with numerous accessories for easy digiscoping. Leica’s adapters allow quick attachment of Leica Q, M and SL cameras, or other mirrorless cameras via the T2 system. The Ollin Snapcase smartphone adapter adds the flexibility to use your mobile for digiscoping. When combined with the comprehensive Leica FOTOS app, it’s easy to review and share field images from the great outdoors.
Versatile Eyepieces and Accessories
The APO-Televid 82 accepts both the Leica Vario eyepiece 25-50x WW ASPH. for wide field views and the new 20-60x eyepiece for higher magnification, and you can add a 1.8x extender for further reach. Optional tripods, cases, and other accessories complete a comprehensive system, which is perfect for nature-based observation and image capture.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
