EIZO ColorEdge CG2700S 27 Inch Colour Management LCD Monitor in More Detail

USB Type-C Port

The CG2700S includes a USB Type-C port that handles video, data transfer, and up to 92W power delivery. This allows users to connect laptops or tablets with one cable, simplifying the workspace and making it easier to move between workstations when required.

Power Delivery

Thanks to 92W power delivery the monitor can charge laptops such as the MacBook Pro, removing the need for a separate power supply.

Network Connection

Built-in LAN enables a wired internet connection via the USB Type-C cable, which supports file sharing, remote workflows, and access to network-based colour management tools. EIZO's MAC Address Clone Utility software assigns the MAC address of the connected device to the monitor, while supporting network security protocols.

Colour Management

Built-In Sensor to Automate Your Workflow

A built-in calibration sensor automatically calibrates the screen at set intervals, which eliminates the need for hardware calibration tools while maintaining consistent colour accuracy without interrupting your work.

ColorNavigator 7 Software

This software manages all aspects of calibration and colour modes, with options for automatic scheduling and external sensor correlation, and calibration data is stored directly in the monitor for instant access.

ColorNavigator Network

For multi-monitor environments this secure cloud-based tool allows for centralised colour quality control over all connected ColorEdge displays, with admin access via a web browser.

Wide Colour Gamut

The CG2700S reproduces 98% of the DCI-P3, 99% of AdobeRGB, and nearly all ISO-coated and US web-coated CMYK colour spaces.

3D LUT and 10-Bit Display

When using the HDMI or DisplayPort, the screen displays more than 1 billion colours with smooth gradations, which is further supported by a 3D LUT for precise colour rendering and emulation.

Broadcast and Cinema Presets

Preset modes for accurate video colour grading include DCI-P3, BT.709, BT.2020, PQ (DCI and BT.2100) and HLG (BT.2100), each of which can be recalibrated using the built-in sensor.

Pixel Inspection

The OSD-based Pixel Inspection tool shows input and display colour values at the pixel level, helping ensure the correct project parameters are in use.

Post Production

HDR Gamma Support

The CG2700S can accurately display and edit HDR content, with support for PQ and HLG gamma curves, plus 400 cd/m² brightness.

True Black Display

A DCI-compliant contrast ratio of 1450:1 and a special retardation film helps to maintain shadow detail and depth, even when viewed from an angle to the side.

Luminance Warning

Highlights that exceed defined brightness thresholds are shown in yellow or magenta for set levels of 300, 500, 1000 or 4000 cd/m².

BT.709 Out of Gamut Warning

Gamut Warning indicates areas in BT.2020 content that cannot be shown in BT.709. BT.709 Clipping previews how content will appear on HDTV.

Automatic Colour Settings

Sync Signal detects video signal information and auto-adjusts input range and colour format for consistent output.

Image Display

Factory Adjusted Gamma

Gamma values for R, G, and B are measured at each tone level during production. The 16-bit LUT selects the most appropriate 256 tones for smooth gradations.

Fast Colour Stabilisation

The screen stabilises colour and brightness within three minutes of powering on, which can help you work faster on-location, the home office or in a studio.

Temperature Compensation with AIA built-in sensor monitors internal and ambient temperature. AI algorithms refine adjustments for accurate brightness and colour regardless of temperature changes.

Uniformity Across the Screen

EIZO’s DUE (digital uniformity equaliser) compensates for brightness and chromaticity variations across the panel.

2K WQHD Resolution

The 27-inch panel displays 2560 x 1440 resolution, offering ample workspace for Full HD content alongside your favourite editing tools. This makes it ideal for photography, video editing, and game development, amongst other applications.

Ergonomics

Punched Metal Design

The new housing design features a perforated rear panel to allow better passive airflow, which altos eliminates the need for a fan. An integrated handle makes relocation easy too.

Multiple Inputs

In addition to USB Type-C, the monitor offers DisplayPort and HDMI inputs, along with four USB downstream ports (2x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, 2x USB 2.0 Type-A).
