Highly versatile recorder
Working with Ninja V makes it easier to perfect every scene through professional monitoring tools such as framing, exposure and focusing. You can also choose from industry-standard recording formats with frame size, frame rate and codecs that best suit your workflow. Ninja V allows you to record HDMI RAW inputs up to 6K at 30fps, whilst simultaneously looping out standard YCC video via HDMI to non-RAW compatible devices.
Effective touchscreen
A highly responsive 5.2-inch, SuperAtom IPS touchscreen guarantees each feature is clearly visible and all the features are easily accessible and the bright 1000nit screen can even be used outdoors. The display settings allow for a number of adjustments to make certain your Ninja V functions equally well in darker environments.
Extremely portable
The Atomos Ninja V is compact, portable and works as well on a compact mirrorless camera as it does with a full-sized cinema camera. A lightweight aluminium chassis and polycarbonate backplate have been crafted for maximum durability and the device weighs just 360g, which means it can be used comfortably when handholding the camera. The device includes anti-rotational 3/8-16 mount points on the top and bottom and ships with a 1/4-20 adapter. This enables the Ninja V to be easily be adapted and mounted on industry-standard equipment.
Comprehensive monitoring tools
Ninja V includes a comprehensive range of monitoring tools such as:
- waveform
- focus peaking
- false colour
- zoom controls
- custom LUTs
- frame guides.
These can be overlaid in any combination and AtomOS software is easy to use, providing a readily updatable platform for firmware releases.
Time saving creative effects
You can create cinematic effects, creative transitions and save time in post-production with the Get Creative update for your Ninja V. The onion skin overlay makes shooting stop-motion and creating jump or match cuts extremely simple. The ability to capture frame grabs live on-set reduces time creating thumbnails and gives you a quick reference to share with the team and is available free from my.atomos.com.
Wireless remote control
The AtomRemote app for iOS and macOS offers an array of external controls for ATOMOS CONNECT for Ninja V. The app enables you to perform a range of configuration tasks and operations up to 15 meters away from the device via Bluetooth LE. Input options include the ability to define camera connections, select Gamma/EOTF, and adjust Gamut settings. For monitoring, AtomRemote can be used to control playback, choose monitoring modes, apply custom 3D LUTs, or view image analysis tools including exposure and focus. Output controls include options for 4K to HD, LUT preview, and HDR output.
Wireless timecode
Atomos AirGlu™ adds wireless timecode, sync, and control technology to ATOMOS CONNECT for Ninja V. AirGlu locks multiple Atomos devices or compatible cameras, audio recorders, and software applications together so that they share the same frame-accurate timecode. It is also able to relay recording, battery status, and disk capacity information to the server unit. Any AirGlu device can act as the server unit, which means you’ll no longer need a huge budget or get involved in time consuming post-production workflows to produce perfectly synchronised, multi-camera video.
Supported frame rates
Ninja V is able to record more colour data and add value to your productions, maximising the quality of your movies. If your camera outputs video over HDMI, the quality can often be preserved in a 4:2:2 8-bit or 10-bit format.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

Peace of mind with our 6 month warranty
This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
