Sigma 50-100mm F1.8 DC HSM Art Lens (Canon EF-mount) Summary |

| Product features in detail |
|
Sigma have revolutionised the zoom lens with their attempts to introduce the same levels of brightness and resolution as prime lenses. With their 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art lens they achieved this, and the 50-100mm is a beneficiary of their experimentation with this field. The HSM (hyper sonic motor) has been enhanced to enable such feats of optical engineering and the styling is reminiscent of the aforementioned 18-35mm so that users are familiar with the feel of both lenses - as they are likely to form a strong partnership for a photographer who wants to keep their kit as versatile as possible. Please note that this lens is designed for cameras with APS-C sensors - meaning vignetting will occur if combined with a camera possessing a larger sensor. |

Our Verdict
Sigma have done it again - maintaining a wide-aperture across a varied focal length removing the necessity to have a kit bag full of prime lenses, replacing instead with a zoom lens that has the same capability of three primes!
