Our Verdict
The DJI Mini SE makes a great choice whether you’re completely new to drones and want to learn to pilot quickly, or simply want a lightweight, compact drone which you can bring on any adventures. It comes with a user manual and comprehensive tutorials, which are included in the Flight Academy in the DJI Fly app, but also has advanced features for more advanced control. Harness the power of pre-defined flight paths for cinematic effects, which you can capture and share instantly, or manually adjust shutter, ISO, and white balance in M (Manual) mode.
Video transmission is 720p/30fps and the drone can be charged by connecting it to a charger with the included USB Type-C cable, or using an optional Two-Way Charging Hub, which is included with the DJI Mini SE Fly More Combo. Even with just a single fully charged battery flight times are up to 30 minutes – a significant improvement over drones from just a handful of years ago. Video can be recorded in 2.7K at 30fps or Full HD in 60fps slow motion, providing lots of scope for creating engaging content to share on social media platforms. If you’re after a super-lightweight drone which is easy to get started with, but also lets you develop your skills as you go, the Mini SE has to be near the top of your list.
