Reasons to buy from Park Cameras
We Love
  • The home button - launch, fly around, press the home button and it comes right back to where it launched from. Genius.
  • It is genuinely easy to fly, we've had a fly here at Park Cameras and didn't come anywhere near to crashing it!
  • Linking the controller with the app and a GoPro lets you see what the drone is seeing in live view, making it even easier to get the shots you are after. Oh, and more fun too!

Solo - The Smart Drone

Built specifically for aerial photography, the controller allows you to shoot like a pro from day one. Easily adjust camera tilt positions and speed, instantly snap a photo or even start and stop GoPro recording during flight (requires gimbal). All while a crystal clear HD view of the action is streamed directly to your mounted mobile device.

CABLE CAM
A virtual cable for the automatic perfect shot. Fly the drone to one area, set position to A, fly elsewhere and set the position as point B and watch as the drone operates along a virtual zip-wire, enabling you to set up some very good looking aerial panning shots.

ORBIT
Circle an object for an iconic “wrap-around" shot.

SELFIE
Put yourself in the center of a scenic aerial pull-out. Once again, use this drone's intelligent capabilities to the full by using Selfie mode, the drone knows where you are because you have the controller, it will then plot its route towards (and eventually away from) you to take a remarkable selfie.

FOLLOW
Don't want to fly? Go completely hands-free. Let the drone follow you whilst you are doing something film-worthy.

Solo's video game-style controller will feel familiar the second you pick it up, even if you've never flown a drone. Pushbutton commands put both camera and copter at your fingertips. Take off, land or instantly pause your flight midair with a single touch. Click to start and stop recording or snap a photo, even adjust camera angle while you fly.

By working directly with GoPro, we've made Solo the first drone to offer complete control of your HERO3+ or HERO4 camera during flight. The new 3-axis gimbal delivers fluid HD video to your mobile device, offers in-flight recording control and access to GoPro settings—and oh yeah, it powers your GoPro, too.

The robust new Solo app (for iOS and Android) makes it easy to get the most out of Solo's smart features. Stream live video to your mobile device and enjoy sophisticated camera and copter control, often with the push of a button.

More Information on the law on flying drones in the UK

Drones are a relatively new addition to the UK's airspace, as a hobby, and whilst there is an incredible amount of fun to be had, there are also some legal considerations to be taken into account. At Park Cameras we'd be remiss not to mention some of the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) guidelines on drone flying in the UK.

In summary, these are:

  • You are legally responsible for the safe conduct of each flight.
  • You should check the drone for damage before every flight.
  • The drone must remain within your sight at all times.
  • You are responsible for avoiding collisions.
  • It is illegal to fly your drone over a congested area, such as streets, towns & cities, and you must stay well clear of airports and airfields.
  • Your drone cannot be flown within 50m of a person, vehicle, building or structure.
  • You must be aware of privacy laws when taking pictures.
  • If you are to use your drone for any commercial purpose you must get permission from the CAA.

Whilst these are clear rules, they aren't as restrictive as many will have you believe, they certainly allow for a fun and considered experience. For the CAA's full guide on being drone aware.

Thank you for flying 3DS Solo!
