Do you want to expand your horizons when shooting Street Photography? If so, then join us for this masterclass in the thriving theatre district of London where master of street photography and Leica expert Ethan Cooper will be on hand to help you do just that!
During this photo walk (expected to run for approximately 2 hours), Ethan will take you around some of the best locations in London’s West End, offering tips on street photography composition, how to best capture portraits in natural light, and how your camera can be used for maximum creative flexibility.
Throughout the session, those attending will have the opportunity to test out the recently launched Leica M EV1 and some of the most-popular M-Lenses.
Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just starting out, Ethan will be on hand throughout the walk to provide personalised advice and guidance on how to get the best out of the camera, along with tips and techniques to help you get the most out of your photography.
This session is interactive. Therefore, if you already own a Leica M EV1 or M-System camera, please ensure you bring it along, with some memory to ensure you can take your shots home with you. A selection of cameras and lenses will be available for you to test out during this walk on a first-come first-served basis, with popular lens focal lengths including 28mm, 35mm and 50mm. We will try out best to accommodate everyone, subject to availability.
Please note; if you would like to borrow a Leica camera or lens for the purposes of this photo walk, please ensure you bring a valid photo ID with you on the day.
As this is an event in association with Leica UK, shooting with other brands during this walk will not be permitted.
This session is limited to just 10 delegates.
The photo walk will end back at Park Cameras at 34 Rathbone Place, where Ethan will be available to discuss further information about the kit or techniques he has demonstrated.
This walk will be at a leisurely pace and is mainly on the level ground. There will be plenty of time allowed for you to get your shots. It is also recommended to bring a coat and/or an umbrella, as the weather can be unpredictable. If conditions are wet, Ethan may adjust the route to allow shots from sheltered locations. Please also bring a bottle of water (or flask with a hot drink) to ensure you keep hydrated for the duration of the walk. Unfortunately due to the nature of the walk, there will be no designated rest stop.

About the Leica M EV1:
The M encapsulates the essence of our philosophy like no other camera. It embodies timeless aesthetics and true photographic authenticity, paired with uncompromising craftsmanship and exceptional image quality. The Leica M EV1 honours this legacy while expanding its horizons.
Whether you’re photographing close-up subjects or sweeping vistas, the EVF renders every perspective in brilliant clarity and streamlines the use of every M-Lens since 1954.
Unlike a traditional rangefinder, the integrated EVF consistently displays the lens’ full field of view – from wide angle to telephoto. This enables you to see every detail precisely as it will be captured. For M photography, where the legendary strengths of M-Lenses can be harnessed more effortlessly than ever.
