Vanguard VEO 3+ 303CBS Tall Carbon Fibre Tripod with Ball Head Summary
Just like all VEO 3+ tripods, the Vanguard VEO 3+ 303CBS Tripod comes with a market leading Multi-Angle Central Column that can be moved almost 360° in any direction with ease. Combined with the three easy set leg angles, it makes the VEO 3+ perfect for any style of photography - moving from macro shots with your lens at ground level, to upright landscape shots in seconds.
The multi-angle central column also includes a scale at the base of the central column and on the central column itself that allows you to repeat a series of shots over time with ease.
You can also use the multi-angle central column as a Multi-Mount using the VEO+ MA1 Adaptor (included). The VEO+ MA1 simply slides onto the central column to create another attachment point, allowing you to attach additional equipment to the tripod to enhance any shot, be it a laptop, display, lighting, microphone and more.
On the central column canopy there is also a 3/8" thread hole with 1/4” adaptor with non-slip bayonet fittings for attaching a VEO TSA DLX Tripod Support Arm (available in three sizes, not included), or any other magic arm, that allows you to add even more accessories, helping to turn your tripod into a studio.
Despite this flexibility, when locked off, the multi-angle central column provides an incredibly stable platform at any angle, and it features a retractable and removable hook at the base of the central column for attaching additional weight for additional stability.

The Vanguard VEO 3+ 303CBS is a complete tripod kit that has 30mm diameter, 3-section carbon fibre legs that offer an incredibly stable base that extends to 1775mm (or 1515mm with the central column down for maximum stability) and will hold up to 25kg.
Unlike the smaller models, to ensure maximum stability, this carbon fibre tripod from Vanguard does not include a leg that can be unscrewed to convert into a monopod.
The easy set twist locks allow you to deploy your tripod in seconds, and to lock the legs solid. They are also incredibly easy to clean, allowing you to use the tripod in more extreme conditions to capture that perfect shot, with the knowledge that you can clean the legs thoroughly when you return home, maximizing the life of the tripod.

For maximum stability on any surface, the tripod comes with rubber feet that can be removed and replaced with spiked feet (included).
This model includes a VEO BH-250S Arca Compatible Dual Axis Ball Head that delivers the most solid grip possible, allowing the kit to handle a maximum load capacity of up to 25kg.
In addition to the traditional pan on the base and a friction control, this head includes a second pan-axis at the top. This allows you to level your tripod in seconds on the most uneven terrain, without the kerfuffle involved in adjusting the leg heights, and pan or re-frame your shot with confidence that the tripod will remain level. Alternatively, it simply offers more control in framing your shots.
All the VEO 3+ models are delivered using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) engineering technology, with key load bearing components machined from aircraft grade aluminium which then receive leading-edge treatments, such as Vanguard’s advanced anodising process, which offers maximum protection from corrosion and maximise the life of the product.

Our Verdict
Vanguard has updated their range of carbon fibre tripods with this VEO 3+ 303CBS Carbon Fibre Tripod addition. It sits at the top-end of the line-up, with thicker carbon legs and a heavier payload for pro-sized equipment. It is an ideal choice for photographers who capture landscapes, astro, architecture and even studio work, thanks to being incredible stable and well built.
Vanguard has used CNC machining processes for all metal parts and build-quality adds to the premium feel of this support. The kit includes the versatile Multi-Angle Central Column (MACC), which lets you shoot at low angles, higher and even horizontally, covering almost any shooting situation you encounter in the field.
A VEO+MA1 is also included for conversion to a multi-mount, enabling the addition of a second camera body, smartphone or other gear which content creators rely on and a standard accessory mount provides easy mounting of LED lights, a video recorder / monitor or similar video accessories.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.
