Having waited for Sigma’s esteemed lenses to be released for Nikon Z cameras, photographers will be thrilled with the performance of the 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens. It arrives alongside two other primes, all of which offer high portability for compact DX format cameras. Although made specifically for crop sensor cameras such as the Z50 and Z fc, you can also use Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN on full-frame bodies in DX mode.
Results are excellent when shooting at all apertures, and the bright maximum f/1.4 and 9-bladed diaphragm delivers pleasing bokeh and smooth out of focus areas. This is ideal for a standard lens which offers an equivalent full-frame focal width of around 50mm, as it is well suited to portraits and similar genres with a prominent subject.
A fast and quiet stepping motor provides assured focusing and the lens keeps pace with AF systems found across the range of Nikon cameras. - Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
