HikMicro Lynx 2.0 15mm Smart Thermal Monocular Summary

The HikMicro Lynx 2.0 15mm Smart Thermal Monocular is an ultra-compact, fixed-focus thermal imager, which is ideal for quick scanning and clear subject identification. It is built around a new 384x288, <20mK thermal sensor with a fast F1.0 lens, and the Lynx 2.0 delivers crisp imaging in a wide range of environmental conditions, from woodland observation to urban security and ecological surveying.

A low base magnification of 1.4x makes it easy to track movement through a wide field of view, while up to 11.2x digital magnification brings subjects in closer. Its fixed focus design means you can quickly scan areas without constantly adjusting the lens, which is ideal for spotting wildlife on the move. Measuring under 175mm long and weighing under 300g (with a battery), the Lynx 2.0 is one of the most portable thermal optics in its class.

The HikMicro Lynx 2.0 15mm Thermal Monocular offers up to 6.5 hours of runtime from a single 18650 battery, a quick boot-up time, and connectivity via the HikMicro Sight app, ensuring that the Lynx 2.0 provides a simple, reliable solution for fieldwork and observation. Whether you’re out at night monitoring wildlife, surveying land, or checking your surroundings, this rugged thermal monocular will perform.

HikMicro Lynx 2.0 15mm Smart Thermal Monocular in More Detail

High Sensitivity Thermal Performance

At the core of the Lynx 2.0 is HikMicro’s latest sub 20mK NETD thermal sensor, which offers detailed thermal contrast and clarity even in rain, fog or low-contrast conditions. Combined with a bright F1.0 15mm lens, the sensor is able to detect minute differences in temperature, making it easy to identify people, wildlife, or heat sources at distance.

Fixed Focus for Fast Scanning

The fixed-focus design means the Lynx 2.0 is always ready to scan without needing constant manual adjustments. Combined with a 1.4x base magnification and 8x digital zoom, this makes it especially effective for fast-moving or close-range observation, such as tracking deer through woodland or locating warm vehicles in urban areas.

Compact Build with Durable Housing

The Lynx 2.0 is lightweight and easy to carry, with a weight of less than 300g with battery and just under 175mm long. Its magnesium-alloy chassis ensures long-term durability, and the large OLED screen with soft eyecup provides comfortable, glare-free viewing in any lighting conditions.

Simple Operation and Connectivity

All of the key controls are positioned for intuitive use, even in low-light conditions. The unit boots in just 3 seconds and supports stills or video capture. Built-in Wi-Fi allows you to link the device to your smartphone or tablet using the HikMicro Sight app, for viewing, sharing or remote operation.

Efficient Power System

The Lynx 2.0 runs on a standard 18650 rechargeable battery and comes with a spare in the box. This setup offers up to 6.5 hours of use per battery, which can be swapped out in seconds for continuous field use without downtime.
