The HikMicro Falcon FQ50 2.0 is a premium handheld thermal imaging monocular for long-range spotting and observation in any environment. The device features a large 50mm F0.9 lens and a high-sensitivity 640x512 thermal sensor with NETD < 15mK. This enables the monocular to capture incredibly sharp detail, even in challenging weather and lighting conditions. With a maximum detection range of up to 2600 metres, this model is ideal for wildlife surveys, ecological monitoring, marine navigation, and professional outdoor use.
The unit features HikMicro’s Shutterless Image System (HSIS), which eliminates the disruption of traditional sensor recalibration, in order to provide an uninterrupted viewing experience. High-Resolution Thermal Performance
At the heart of the Falcon FQ50 2.0 is a 640x512 thermal detector with a sensitivity rating of NETD < 15mK. This is combined with a 50mm F0.9 lens, which allows for precise heat detection from up to an impressive 2600 metres. The system is eminently capable of detecting small temperature differences, producing crisp, detailed images in adverse conditions, including fog, rain, and even in total darkness.
Shutterless Imaging System
The FQ50 2.0 incorporates HikMicro’s advanced Shutterless Image System (HSIS). Unlike conventional thermal devices that interrupt viewing with regular calibration pauses, this system maintains continuous visibility, which is ideal for uninterrupted tracking and observation.
Sharp OLED Visuals
A 0.49-inch OLED screen displays imagery at 1920x1080 resolution, offering excellent brightness and contrast. This display provides a good degree of clarity when identifying heat sources, and the user interface is accessible even in low-light conditions.
Portable, Rugged and Practical
With its lightweight 570g build and ergonomic cylindrical chassis, the Falcon FQ50 2.0 is comfortable to carry and operate for extended periods. It’s powered by a replaceable 18650 lithium battery, which provides up to 6.5 hours of use per charge, and additional batteries can be swapped in quickly to extend runtime during fieldwork.
Recording, Connectivity and Controls
The monocular supports video and image recording via internal storage and connects to mobile devices through the HikMicro Sight app. Users can control the unit remotely, review footage, and share live streams. Its intuitive interface offers control of brightness, contrast, digital zoom, and four thermal palettes.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
