Ultra Compact and Lightweight

The LIT HERO weighs just 93g, making it lighter than any of the flagship HERO cameras. The smaller size takes up less space in your pocket or bag, and it can be mounted where bigger cameras don’t fit as well. Despite being smaller, you don’t lose out on durability or features, and LIT still has the rugged build that you expect.

Waterproof Out of the Box

GoPro has made the LIT HERO with the same tough design found across the camera range. It’s waterproof down to 5m too, so whether you’re skiing, mountain biking, swimming or exploring a city in the rain, it’s safe to bring this action camera without worrying about getting it wet.

Built-in Light

One of the most notable features is a built-in light, which has three brightness levels, works even when the camera is off, and can be activated while the camera is charging. This makes it possible to shoot in low light or even in complete darkness, so you can grab movies in all sorts of situations that weren’t possible before.

Image Quality

LIT HERO records 4K video at up to 60fps³, allowing you to capture smooth motion or play video in 2x slow motion. You can take 12MP photos and pull 11MP frame grabs from your video with the GoPro Quik app. 16:9 widescreen and 4:3 aspect ratios are supported, which gives you the choice of standard full-screen or a taller, more immersive framing. After recording you can also use the Quik app to crop for vertical formats, which is suitable for TikTok and other platforms.

Slo-Mo Playback

With 4K60 or 1080p60³ you can replay clips in 2x slow motion for sweet effects, which slows down fast-moving action to show detail you wouldn’t normally be able to see.

Three Mounting Options

There are three mounting options on the LIT HERO. It supports GoPro’s Magnetic Latch¹ system, so swapping between mounts is quicker. The built-in mounting fingers mean you can use existing GoPro mounts in rougher conditions, while the 1/4”-20 thread lets you attach the camera to standard tripods or accessories.

Touchscreen Controls

The 1.76-inch touchscreen has a 312 x 240 resolution, which can be used to frame shots and swipe or tap to change modes and adjust settings. By using the shutter button you can also capture video or photos really easily, and the camera supports voice commands so you can activate it hands-free when you’re using body or helmet mounts. This makes it much easier to capture footage while focusing on an activity.

Super Simple Controls

With LIT HERO you can frame your subject and press the shutter button for quick results. It is a straightforward way to capture GoPro footage without going through menus or settings, which is helpful when the action is fast.

Video Stabilisation

GoPro’s HyperSmooth stabilisation is applied through the Quik app. By playing your videos back in the app, it automatically corrects shakes and bumps, whether you were cycling, skiing or just recording while you walk around.

Battery Life

The internal battery records 4K for over 100 minutes on a single charge⁴. The light draws power from the same battery, so runtimes will be shorter when it’s switched on, but performance is still long enough for a lot of content creation.

Quik App and Cloud Features

The GoPro Quik app is an important aspect of creating content with the LIT HERO. As well as providing stabilisation and frame grabs, it gives you editing tools to crop, zoom, add filters and adjust highlight videos.

If you connect the camera to Wi-Fi, it will automatically upload footage to the cloud² while charging. Then the app generates a highlight video with beat-synced music and effects, which is sent to your phone ready to share. Unlimited cloud backup is included with a GoPro subscription².

Easy Transfers

Footage from the camera is easy to send to your phone through the GoPro Quik app. You can choose wireless upload for speed, or let the camera auto-upload while it charges on your home Wi-Fi².
