Fujifilm have announced the new GFX100, a brand new medium format camera entry into the GFX series of cameras that improves upon the already impressive GFX lineup.
The Fujifilm GFX range of medium format cameras already offer exceptionally high levels of image quality and the new GFX100 improves on this trend. Featuring a huge 102MP CMOS sensor, the detail in each shot is incredible, in fact it’s the highest class resolution mirrorless digital camera ever produced.
The GFX100 is the first large sensor GFX camera to feature in-body stabilisation with 5-axis compensation giving you 5.5 stops of image stabilisation. This means you’ve got much better flexibility for how you want to shoot and makes handheld shooting a much more viable option.
The camera itself is made of a magnesium alloy making it both lightweight and robust and it’s been designed for a wide variety of shooting situations. With weather sealing at 95 points (including the electronic viewfinder) helps it withstand extreme conditions of dust, moisture and low temperatures making it great for use in the studio and outside in harsher conditions.
Fujifilm have also improved on the video capabilities with the GFX100 offering 4K video at up to 30 frames per second with 10-bit colour depth along with F Log and HLG support for better dynamic range and colour grading options in post.
We can’t wait to get our hands on it to bring you a full review and we’ll be sure to post it as soon as we can. In the meantime, you can see the full specs here.
