Summary

The superb low light performance of the Leica M combined with the outstanding lens performance from open aperture of all Leica-M lenses make the M the ultimate for available light photography.

The Leica Image Maestro processor allows for fast sequential shooting with shooting possible while images are being written to the memory card and the high performance 1800 mAh battery allows extended shooting times with the excellent power management built in to the Leica M.

The Leica M 240 offers three methods of focusing; the classic M rangefinder system, Live view with zoom capability and Live View Focus peaking (which highlights sharp contours in red) so you are assured of the sharpest possible image. The high-resolution 3" 920,000 pixel monitor allows precise assessment of each image prior to shooting and in playback and you can also use the Visoflex EVF-2 electronic viewfinder.

HD video with the 'Leica look' is built in to the M-240 with complete control over exposure and focus.

The Leica M is built to withstand harsh conditions with its Solid Brass and magnesium alloy construction combined with rubber seals for protection from splashes and dusty conditions.

As well as full compatibility with all Leica M-series lenses, the M type 240 allows use of almost all Leica R-Lenses using the Leica R-Adapter and is made even more convenient using the Visoflex EVF-2 electronic viewfinder.
