Reasons to buy from Park Cameras

With the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II, Mirrorless digital compact camera system, you'll find a whole range of improvements over its predecessor, including enhanced with enhanced 5-axis Image Stabilisation and impressive video capabilities.

At first look, you'll see that Olympus have kept with the traditional look of their previous OM cameras, and have taken time to ensure that all the buttons and dials are ergonomically laid out for ease of use, so that you can operate the camera instinctively at high speed.

Within the camera itself, you'll find that this is a fantastic tool for shooting creative, high quality photos and shoot sophisticated videos. Using the E-M5 Mark II, you can create 40-megapixel images with breathtaking levels of detail. This is helped by the powerful 5-axis image stabilisation technology, which eliminates camera-shake in all five planes of movement, achieving the equivalent of 5 EV steps faster shutter speed. This is built into the camera body itself, so will work when attaching any lens.

  • 16-Megapixel LIVE MOS sensor
  • Extremely quick Fast AF
  • The world's most powerful* 5-axis in-body Image Stabilization system
  • Spectacular 40-Megapixel composite still shot capability
  • Dust, splash and freezeproof housing
  • 1080 Full HD 60p video with flexible frame rates
  • 3" vari-angle touchscreen
  • Take your audio recording to the next level

Olympus patented 5-axis image stabilisation offers all the functionality of a Steadicam, built in to the body of the camera. This, combined with one of the world's fastest autofocus systems and a cutting-edge electronic viewfinder - plus a full tilt screen, results in a fantastic compact solution for outstanding video creation.

When it comes to audio, why settle for good sound quality when you can have great broadcast quality audio? Using a gun microphone, such as the Olympus ME-31, will easily minimise noise deflection, and make it easier for you to adapt to your subject's proximity.

If you want to improve your audio even further, consider using an Olympus LS-P2 Audio Recorder with your camera. This will achieve quality better than a CD, at 24 bit 96kHz recording. The 120dB SPL microphones will capture even the deepest bass frequencies, and several functions are included that enable you to normalise, trim, or edit your recording right on the device.

Moving image meets sound with the combination high-definition 1080p video from the Olympus E-M5 Mark II and high resolution audio from the LS-P2. Together they make a perfect couple: just place the LS-P2 directly onto the hotshoe, connect via the microphone input on your camera, and start recording.

The Olympus LS-P2's built-in USB connector enables you to directly plug the recorder into your PC, and transfer your recordings without the need for extra cables. If you don't have a PC at the time, you can still edit and trim your recording on the LS-P2 itself.

We've highlighted the main differences between the OM-D E-M5 II and its predecessor the OM-D E-M5 below:

  • Maximum shutter speed 1/8000 vs 1/4000
