HikMicro Habrok 640px 35mm 4K Multi-Spectrum Thermal Binoculars Summary

The HikMicro Habrok 640px 35mm 4K Multi-Spectrum Thermal Binoculars (HQ35L) are for users who need a single device, which is capable of handling daylight, low light and night-time observation. It combines a high-resolution 640-class thermal sensor with a 35mm thermal lens, a 4K digital imaging system and an integrated laser rangefinder, all built into a compact binocular-style body.

The HQ35L sits between the HE25L and the longer-reach 50mm models. It offers a more balanced approach, providing a useful field of view for scanning while still delivering good recognition capability at distance. The multi-spectrum design allows users to move seamlessly between thermal detection and detailed digital viewing as conditions change throughout the day.

This model is well suited to wildlife observation, land management and fieldwork where flexibility, detail and accurate distance awareness are required in a single, portable device.

Overview and key improvements

The Habrok HQ35L builds on the original Habrok combining higher thermal resolution with refined digital imaging and improved usability. The 640-resolution thermal sensor enhances subject separation and background detail, particularly when observing across mixed terrain or in low-contrast conditions such as mist or foliage.

The digital 4K channel provides clear colour imagery in daylight and twilight, extending useful observation time when light levels drop. Image stabilisation reduces shake at higher magnifications, while the integrated laser rangefinder adds accurate distance context without the need for additional equipment. Together, these refinements make the HQ35L a more capable and versatile option for extended, all-day observation.

Image quality and sensor performance

The HQ35L uses a 640x512 thermal detector and a 35mm lens, creating a setup that works well across varied outdoor environments. The thermal channel supports quick scanning and reliable detection, helping warm subjects stand out clearly from cooler surroundings, even when partially obscured by vegetation or in uneven terrain.

Alongside thermal imaging, the digital channel uses a 4K UHD sensor and long focal length optics to deliver detailed colour imagery in daylight and twilight. This allows users to locate subjects thermally and then switch instantly to digital viewing for visual confirmation and finer detail.

Performance, stabilisation and zoom

The digital viewing system offers a wide zoom range, allowing users to move from broad situational awareness to close inspection without changing equipment. Electronic image stabilisation helps maintain a steady view at higher magnifications, which is particularly useful during prolonged handheld observation or low-light use.

Switching between thermal and digital channels is immediate, supporting changing conditions from bright daylight through to darkness.

Rangefinding, recording and connectivity

A built-in laser rangefinder provides accurate distance measurement up to long ranges, supporting navigation, surveying and general situational awareness. Photos and videos can be captured directly to internal storage with a single button press and reviewed either on the device or via the HIKMICRO Sight app.

Wireless connectivity allows content to be transferred to a smartphone and supports real-time screen sharing and basic control when required.

Handling, power and durability

Despite its multi-sensor design, the Habrok HQ35L remains compact and lightweight for a binocular-style device. Adjustable interpupillary distance and foldable eyepieces support comfortable use, including for those who wear glasses. A large OLED display provides a clear, immersive view while reducing eye strain during longer sessions.

Power is supplied by replaceable rechargeable batteries, offering enough runtime for extended use, with auto screen-off helping conserve energy. The robust housing and optional binocular harness support reliable use across a wide range of outdoor conditions.
