About James Gilbert:
James has always been surrounded by photography and cameras. From an early age he used to caddy for his uncle, learning how photography worked and playing with cameras that would nowadays be seen as classics.
After searching for the perfect system James fell in love with the Fujifilm X-Series, not only for the Film Simulations but for the X-Trans Sensor and the traditional control layout. This, twinned with the superb Fujinon lenses, appealed to both the technical and artistic sides of James. Working hard to learn the Fujifilm system inside and out James joined the Fujifilm Training team in 2016 where he was able to extol the virtues of Fujifilm and support photographers as they joined him in using the system. You’ll find him usually carrying an X-Pro3 or a GFX100, though whichever camera he’s using you can bet he’ll have it set to Acros!

Join Fujifilm X Series Photographer Paul Sanders for this 60-minute LIVE webinar as he explains his mindful approach to photography.
He’ll discus how he concentrates on the experience and connects with the subject, his work being a deeply personal study of the world around him. Paul uses only black and white believing that it is free from the distraction and irritation of colour. His work covers mainly landscape and long exposure but Paul also applies the same patient approach to his still life work.
Paul is a great believer in finding your own style and seeing rather than looking to allow your own unique vision, creativity and connection to draw the photographs out of the location.
Printing is the final part of the process. Paul prints all of his own images, keeping the processing simple and enjoying the reconnection with his subject through the printed image.
During this session, along with the techniques that Paul uses to create his images, he’ll also discuss the cameras, lenses and accessories he uses to help create them.
Throughout the session, there will be plenty of opportunities to put your questions to Paul, who will do his best to answer them for you.
This session will be live on Saturday, 22nd August at www.facebook.com/parkcameras/live.
About Paul Sanders:
Landscape photography started as a form of therapy for Paul, as he struggled to cope with the pressure and stress of his previous role as Picture Editor of The Times. Looking at nearly 20,000 images every day and the associated responsibilities left him suffering with stress, depression, insomnia and anxiety. Through his photography, he was able to express himself where words failed him.
Paul has been involved in in photography since leaving school, first as a black and white printer, then as a fashion and glamour photographer. He started his career in news photography in 1991 at The Daventry Express before moving to News Team International, a Birmingham based press agency supplying images to national newspapers. From here Paul joined the Manchester Evening News as Deputy Picture Editor in 1996 and then quickly caught the attention of Reuters, the international wire service in 1998. In 2002 Paul joined The Times and in 2004 was appointed Picture Editor, overseeing the entire visual content of the prestigious publication. Paul left The Times at the end of 2011 to pursue his love of landscape.
Recently, Paul’s work has been recognised by Fujifilm, who inaugurated him into their exclusive X Series Photographers. He is also a Lee Filters Master Photographer and Fotospeed ambassador.
His work has also been exhibited widely in the UK, Europe and Japan.
