Nikon announced the launch of the NIKKOR 14-30mm f4 S line lens at CES 2019. Using the Z Mount, it is compatible with their full frame mirrorless Z Series. The sample images provided were simply breathtaking - so much so we couldn't resist sharing them with you!
14-30mm is a perfect focal range for landscape and cityscape work, so it's no surprise that Nikon launched the new lens with a video showcasing it's low light capabilities in Dubai. Jimmy McIntyre produced some stunning images from the city, which we have shared here.
Features of the lens include a flat front element which allows for a filter thread to be attached directly - saving a bulky filter adaptor having to be used. Most lenses in this class do not offer this due to a bulbous front element. Lovers of long exposures will appreciate the ability to leave a variable Neutral Density on the front.
The customisable control ring on the front of the lens offers great flexibility - allowing you to use it for manual focus, aperture control or exposure compensation.
Videographers may well feel the benefit of this the most - the aperture control has silent adjustment, and Nikon have worked hard to reduce focus breathing and focus shift while zooming. In plain English - focus pulls and zooming will be nice and smooth.
You can see the full specification here, but in the meantime let your eyes feast on these beautiful images.

Events at Park Cameras
Throughout the year, Park Cameras hold and attend a range of events. For photographers currently stuck indoors, as opposed to our events that are traditionally held in store or on the road, we are currently working on a range of events that can be held in the comfort and safety of your own home. In these uncertain times, there’s never been a better time to get to grips with your camera, and hopefully we can help achieve this. Find out more
