Join us at our store in Rathbone Place, London on Saturday 27th June 2026 as photographer Lou Jasmine shares insights into her photography, covering portraiture, documentary and commercial campaigns.
Lou's images carry a warmth and quality of presence that commissioners and subjects notice in equal measure, with clients including Audible UK, Nando's, Dr Martens, Google, Sunday Times Style and Arsenal Women.
In this 45-minute session, Lou shares the thinking behind her work: how she connects with the people she photographs, the choices that give her portraits their emotional depth, and approaches you can take into your own photography. Expect practical tips, fresh ways of seeing your subjects, and a few ideas you hadn't considered before.
Lou loves a conversation, so there will be plenty of time for your questions, whether about her images, her process or the kit she uses.
Come along, bring your curiosity, and leave with new ways to make your portraits stand out.
After the session, we invite you to visit our Nikon area where you can try out the range of cameras and lenses for yourself. A technical expert from Nikon UK will also be on-hand to offer any additional help and advice.

About Lou Jasmine:
Lou Jasmine is a London-based photographer working across commercial campaigns, portraiture and documentary. At the centre of her work is a deep attentiveness to people caught in real feeling: families across generations, significant cultural celebrations, young communities and couples on city streets. Her images carry warmth and a quality of presence that commissioners and subjects tend to notice in equal measure.
Lou is a Nikon Creator whose clients include Audible UK, Nando's, Dr Martens, Google, Sunday Times Style and Arsenal Women. Her personal documentary work, City Kids, is an ongoing film series following young people across global cities.
