Join photographer Stephen Waller for this free virtual session as he shares stories about the photos he has shot during his career, including his transition from using DSLRs to Sony Full-Frame Mirrorless cameras.
For the past 25 years, Stephen has worked as a professional photographer working with many clients particularly within the sports / shipping industry. He has also been involved in press work covering Ipswich Town FC and the speedway team, The Ipswich Witches.
Throughout this webinar Sony Technical Marketing Manager, Mark Baber will talk to Stephen about his work, sharing a number of shots from his work from the speedway. Due to the incredible power to weight ratio, the methanol fuelled 500cc single cylinder motorcycles (that feature no brakes or gears!) can accelerate as fast as a Formula One car, often achieving 0-60mph speeds in well under 3 seconds. During this session, Stephen will share the challenges that these speeds can pose and how the latest technology found in Sony cameras helped him get the shots he needs.
During this session, Mark and Stephen will also discuss the range of kit that they tested out recently at the Ipswich Witches stadium including the Sony A1, FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS, FE 600mm f/4 GM, FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM, and describe how the different lenses performed on the day, sharing tips and tricks you can put into your own photography.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to get any questions you might have, answered by Stephen or Mark.
This session is FREE and will be hosted at www.facebook.com/ParkCameras/live at 12:30pm on Friday, 9th July 2021. If you can’t tune in live, the session will also be recorded so you can watch it ‘on-demand’ at a time that suits you!

About Stephen Waller:
Stephen Waller is a full-time professional photographer of 25 years, based in the town of Felixstowe, on the East Anglian coast, home to the UK's largest container port.
His work is wide and varied but commercial, press and events encompass what he’s mainly involved with.
Most of Stephen’s work tends to be for the business community although he does take on commissions from private clients.
Whilst predominately stills based, Stephen also shoots video and time lapse and utilise drones within his projects.
As well as Felixstowe, East Anglia is home to the ports of Ipswich, Lowestoft, King's Lynn and Harwich and this industry often calls on his services.
He has covered everything from visits by royalty and politicians, openings of quay extensions, warehouses and developments, golf day's and events, retirements and portrait shoots, business meetings, long service events, building refurbishment, truck shoots, maiden ship/World largest visits; the list is endless.
In addition to his business photography Stephen has also been involved in press work for his entire career and currently covers the two biggest sports in his local area (football and speedway).
The football team, Ipswich Town, won the UEFA cup 40 years ago and currently play in the first division, whilst the speedway team, the Ipswich Witches also have a rich history and race in the Premiership, which is the top league in the UK.
