Overview of Talks

David Noton

David Noton is on of the world's best know travel and landscape photographers. His many high profile clients includes the National Trust. He is th eauthor of three photographic books and is a regular contributior to a number of photography magazines including Digtial Photo Pro and Outdoor Photography.

What can be expected at David Noton's talk?

Around the World in 40 Minutes (Talk 1) - A presentation on the challenges, rewards, high lights, pit falls and frustrations of 30 years behind the lens chasing the light from Patagonia to Padstow and Banff to Bangkok. Round the World in Forty Minutes scrutinises in a whirlwind circumnavigation of the globe the peculiar life of a professional travel photographer.

The vision: The art of photography from idea to exposure (Talk 2) - The Vision circumnavigates the globe as David Noton scrutinises in a detailed and logical progression how a successful photograph comes to be, from conception to exposure, and from the Yukon to Provence, Brazil to Dorset. The 40 minute presentation takes you through the process from the spawning of an idea to the Decisive Moment when the shutter is opened, all interspersed with personal and entertaining observations and anecdotes from David's photographic travels around the globe.

Adam Plowden

Adam Plowden is a videographer and motion graphics artist, winner of the IABM engineering student award and Manfrotto Ambassador.

What can be expected at Adam Plowden's talk?

How did I get here? Starting somewhere in Video - Everyone has to start somewhere when you embark on a new journey. Whatever your background or expertise, this seminar will open your eyes to the simplicity approach to video production, how I use my equipment and tell stories through visuals and sound. .

Join Park Cameras on our new Photo Walk series! Each walk will incorporate various places of interest, and we’ll be stopping at these locations to offer advice from the walk leader. On some occasions, we’ll have new products available for you to try out on the walk.

Photo walk four explores Greenwich.

Walk on a route around Greenwich, covering local architecture and places of interest to photographers including:

  • Greenwich Market
  • Greenwich Park 
  • Greenwich Mean Time
  • Meridian Line
  • Royal Observatory
  • Old Naval College

There will be plenty of chances for architecture and street photography as well as street performers, street food, Close-ups and Macro etc.

The walk will be a leisurely pace and is on level ground throughout, plenty of time is allowed for you to get your shots and your photo walk leader is at your service for hints and tips.

At the conclusion of the walk, we return to a meeting spot for feedback forms and details of our Photo Walk competition.
This Photo Walk starts at Park Cameras London store and is approximately 2.5 miles.

Walk on a route around  Camden Town and Camden lock area, covering local architecture and places of interest to photographers.

There will be plenty of chances for architecture, Landscape and street photography as well as street market, indoor, reflections etc.

The walk will be a leisurely pace and is on mainly level ground, plenty of time is allowed for you to get your shots and your photo walk leader is at your service for hints and tips.

At the conclusion of the walk, we return to a meeting spot for feedback forms and details of our Photo Walk competition.
This Photo Walk starts at Park Cameras London store and is approximately 2.5 miles.

Photo walk Six explores some of the most iconic landmarks in London.

From Waterloo we head to the Southbank, Hayward Gallery and the BMX/Skateboard park. We then go along the Jubilee path past the London Eye for great views of Big Ben and the Houses Of Parliament. Crossing Westminster Bridge, we then enter Parliament square and explore the surroundings. Westminster Abbey is next then we cut back across Parliament square, past Downing Street until we arrive at Horseguards. Passing through Horseguards we then enter St James’s Park walking alongside the lake up to Buckingham Palace. We then head back along the Mall then up through Green Park past the Ritz to Green Park Station

There will be plenty of chances for architecture, landscape and street photography as well as silhouettes, action, reflections etc.

The walk will be a leisurely pace and is on mainly level ground, plenty of time is allowed for you to get your shots and your photo walk leader is at your service for hints and tips.

At the conclusion of the walk, we return to a meeting spot for feedback forms and details of our Photo Walk competition.
This Photo Walk starts at Park Cameras London store and is approximately 3 miles.
