Shoreham Airshow Workshop - Saturday 21st August / Sunday 22nd August 2010

Park Cameras and photographic workshop co-ordinator Ian Pack are delighted to introduce an exclusive photographic workshop incorporating one of the U.K’s premier airshow events, The Shoreham ‘Battle of Britain’ Airshow 2010. Taking place at the historic Shoreham Airport in West Sussex, this years event marks both the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain and also the centenary of Shoreham Airport itself, making a special day even more memorable.

Please note that Tickets for our Shoreham Airshow workshop are now only availalbe upon collection in our Burgess Hill Showroom. For directions to the store, please click here.

Through the kind permission of the Airshow organisers, Park Cameras has been given unrivalled access at this years event, providing air photo enthusiasts with a unique chance to sample the Shoreham Airshow as never before. Join us for day packed full of action with some of the worlds most iconic aircraft gracing Shoreham with their presence, including the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, B17 Flying Fortress, ME 109 and the return of the Harrier to name but a few of over 50 aircraft that will be displayed over the two day event. In addition to this there is the chance to be transported back in time and witness the ‘Battle of Britain Scramble’ as Shoreham relives a direct attack from the Luftwaffe.

For attending delegates all of this, and much, much more besides, can be enjoyed with the added benefit of day-long VIP treatment! From the moment you arrive with your allocated parking permit, to the exclusive air-side photo walk providing unrivalled opportunities to photograph many of the display aircraft at close quarters, to the chance to enjoy the entire event from the luxury and central viewpoint of the Executive Marquee, our exclusive Shoreham Airshow Photographic workshop, is just that!

Park Cameras would like to make it clear that whilst this event is intended to be educational in nature no offence will be taken should photographers wish to be left to their own devices, capturing the show as they see fit and using the Executive Marquee as their base for the duration of the event. On both days a team of photographic experts will be on hand to assist as and when required but ultimately we want you to enjoy the show at your own pace.

Park Cameras would like to stress that the organisers of the Shoreham Airshow have kindly allocated us space within the Executive Marquee, providing us with comfort both inside and out as well as benefiting from excellent positioning from which to view the event, on the understanding that at all times we will conform to their code of conduct. In the close proximity of both display pilots and recognised VIP guests we would ask all of our delegates that they respect other guests within the enclosure. With an allocated space directly outside of the Executive Marquee you also need not worry about missing any of the action, it will literally be right in front of you and as such the event organisers have requested that delegates refrain from bringing step ladders and tripods to the event, although monopods are more than acceptable if so required. Pre-show you will also be allocated with a VIP pass allowing you to pass freely to and from the Executive Marquee should you wish to sample the many other attractions taking place at the Airshow.

With so much to offer on this most exclusive of events, we thought it prudent to highlight some of the many exclusives our Shoreham Airshow Photographic Workshop has to offer those delegates attending:

  • Allocated permit parking
  • Exclusive airside photo walk
  • Entry into the Executive Lounge
  • Central viewpoint from which to view the whole Airshow
  • Complementary buffet lunch
  • An opportunity to submit your best Airshow image (post show) for the chance for it to be displayed in the 2011 Airshow Brochure
  • VIP access to the wider Shoreham Airshow
  • Advice and support from experts from the Park Cameras and Ian Pack’s photographic team
  • The opportunity to purchase, pre-Airshow, discounted associated ‘Air Event’ products from Park Cameras
  • Park Cameras ‘Goody’ Bag
  • At the current time we are also working hard with the event organisers to arrange a couple of ‘extra special’ photo opportunities – watch this space for more details!

With so much going on at this years Shoreham Airshow we firmly believe that our exclusive photographic workshop will appeal to photographers of all interests and, undoubtedly, air enthusiasts especially. One thing is for certain, these tickets won’t last long and with only 46 places available each day we strongly suggest early booking to avoid disappointment!
