Hasselblad X1D-50c Features in Detail

Sensor

The 50MP 43.8mm x 32.9mm CMOS sensor in the X1D has been tried and tested in a number of digital medium format cameras, but this time has been incorporated into Hasselblad's revolutionary mirrorless body, delivering ultra-high quality image output across a range of image formats.

Body

The body of the X1D is handmade by Hasselblad in Sweeden, combining their Scandinavian sensibility and simplicity with ergonomics inspired by a comprehensive design heritage.

Weighing only 725g, the body is milled from aluminium for strong and durable build quality, as well as being dust and weather sealed.

New Lenses

Alongside the X1D, Hasselblad launched a line of lenses, the XCD series, designed especially to complement the diminutive build and offer edge-to-edge sharp images.

The new autofocus lens range has been engineered to enhance the design and high resolution capability. They are compact and elegant, matching the slim build of the body.

Users can also use existing lenses from the H System with an optional adapter.

Phocus

Phocus is Hasselblad's own image processing software, designed to work with their digital medium format cameras. It's free to download for both Mac and Windows and is a powerful tool when combined with Hasselblad cameras.

Offering features such as tethering, RAW video preview and export to Apple ProRes format, Phocus has been updated and expanded to work seamlessly with the X1D.

Shutter Speed Range

The new range of XCD lenses utilise Hasselblad's central lens shutter so they are able to support shutter speeds as slow as 60 minutes and as fast as 1/2000th second, as well as full flash synchronisation across the full shutter range. This offers huge versatility for using the camera with or without flash, day or night.

Connectivity

Hasselblad have made use of the latest technologies in order to futureproof the X1D and ensure it is fit for our modern, connected world. They've incorporated built-in GPS into the camera to track the location of images, Wi-Fi as standard for tethering or uploading images directly from the camera, and USB 3.0 for flexibility and fast data transfer speeds.

Video

Capable of recording Full 1080p HD video at 25fps, the Hasselblad X1D uses H.264 compression as well to ensure excellent quality video.

Video is further enhanced by the uncompromising lens quality giving unrivalled look and bokeh, as well as the narrow depth of field that is associated with medium format cameras.
