Mirrorless Camera Lenses
Mirrorless cameras, also known as CSC or Compact System Cameras are digital cameras that generally use smaller sized lenses than their larger cousins, digital SLR. By removing the pentaprism and mirror mechanism found in DSLRs, mirrorless camera lenses can be mounted closer to the sensor, allowing the body to be made smaller and lighter. There is no degrading of image quality however, and manufacturers apply the same optical know-how to ensure incredible quality results. This includes various image enhancing types of glass, such as dispersion and aspherical elements.
As some mirrorless sensors are also smaller (as in the case of micro four thirds), associated lens design can also be extremely compact and lightweight, making them perfect for a wide range of applications. These can be ideal for professional photographers looking for lighter travel equipment, or for beginners and enthusiasts upgrading from a compact camera.
Models are designed either by the original manufacturer, such as Canon, Sony or Fuji to name a few, or from third party manufacturers, including Sigma and Tamron. With a huge range available online and in both of our Burgess Hill and London photographic showrooms, Park Cameras has one of the best ranges available in the UK.
