Park Cameras was established in 1971 by founder and Managing Director Reg Atkins in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Over the last 35+ years we have forged a reputation across the industry as one of the independent photographic retailers in the UK, based on our desire to continuously meet and then exceed the expectations of our customers through a successful mix of wide product selection, competitive pricing and unrivalled customer service.
In 2008, we adopted a radical overhaul of our business, merging our retail and warehouse facilities into one purpose-built site, again in Burgess Hill. Opened in August of that year our new store, located in Victoria Business Park, offers a consumer shopping experience unique to the photographic industry. Our new state-of-the-art 3,600+ Sq Ft ‘touch and try’ showroom showcases over 250 ‘live’ digital cameras, camcorders, printers, accessories and even TV’s, home cinema systems and a wide range of Apple products, providing our customers with the best possible way of making a purchase – by trying the product for themselves.
With the presence of over 50 of the world’s leading photographic brands, including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Samsung, Olympus and Pentax to name but a few, we believe that our new Showroom caters for the needs of all photographers, regardless of interest or ability. With thousands of additional lines in stock across products such as binoculars, flash guns, tripods, bags, studio lighting systems and filters we are confident that we have everything that any photographer could ever need, and all under the one roof!
The increase in products that our new Showroom affords us is, however, only half of the story. In addition to the Showroom itself we now have the ability to offer a much wider range of after-sales services. Our award-winning Fuji processing lab remains, offering a much wider range of services, from DIY kiosks, express printing service and now extremely popular canvas printing options. We are also now able to offer a wide range of photographic courses, seminars and workshops under the banner of the Park Cameras School of Photography, all designed to ensure that our customers are able to get the most out of the products that they have purchased, allowing them to achieve more through their chosen hobby and/or profession.
Running weekly, our courses range from introducing the world of DSLR photography to first-time owners of a DSLR product all the way through to experienced hobbyists and semi-professional photographers. With a team of three trainers, we are able to offer classroom-based course as well as more tailored 121 sessions, bespoke to the individual photographic needs of our customers. We also regularly welcome renowned professional photographers from across the industry to teach on specific photographic subjects, such as fashion, glamour and portraiture photography.
Our new Showroom is easily accessible with good road and train links from London and Brighton and parking is no longer a problem with dedicated parking at the store itself. Upon arrival you will always be greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff only too willing to be of assistance to you. We take pride in the fact that our staff have been trained to the highest standard by many of the brands that you will find instore. By taking the time to ensure that our staff are trained to such a standard it ensures that any visit to Park Cameras will be a rewarding one.
